Veit gets demolition contract for Northwestern Mutual building
Rogers, Minn.-based specialty contracting and waste management firm Veit, which has a Milwaukee area office in New Berlin, will be the project manager for the deconstruction of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.’s east office building at its downtown Milwaukee corporate headquarters campus.

Parkland Ave. in Milwaukee from Columbia Property Trust (formerly known as Wells REIT II) for $26 million, according to state records.

Mayfair Road office building sold for $1.1 million
Mequon-based Midland Management LLC recently purchased the 22,515-square-foot office building at 2835 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, from Cedarburg-based Sterling Hasey Company for $1.1 million, according to state records.

Renovation work finally begins for Avalon Theater
