Venture capital grew in ’07, has promise this year

While Wisconsin attracted a fraction of the $29.4 billion in total U.S. venture capital invested in 2007, the state's share is growing. Last year, venture capitalists invested $87.6 million in Wisconsin companies, according to a MoneyTree report issued by PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association. In 2006, VCs invested $72 million, the report states.
