Former Charter Manufacturing Co. chief executive officer John A. Mellowes and his wife Linda Mellowes, a former Medical College of Wisconsin board member, are donating $10 million to MCW to support new research and for MCW faculty studying the potential the human genome has to treat a wide variety of diseases.
