The Milwaukee Wave of Hope and Milwaukee Wave have named the charity organizations selected as part of the 2012-'13 BMO Harris Bank. Players will sport custom jerseys featuring designs representing a charity during each game. Jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the charity.

More than 30 employees from Wells Fargo & Company and Rockwell Automation are teaming up Friday for community service projects focused on enhancing aesthetics and community in the Harambee neighborhood. Scientists from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Froedtert Hospital will use a one-year, $50,000 grant from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin (CTSI) to research a specific type of heart failure and pinpoint biomarkers that could help with earlier diagnosis and treatment. Researchers will focus on identifying biomarkers involved in cardiac dysfunction, which might allow clinicians to diagnose and decide a treatment route before irreversible cardiac damage affects a patient.

Growing Power announced plans to create community food centers at locations across the country with a five-year, $5 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
