Milwaukee attorney to serve on American Lung Association board

Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek partner John Emanuel has been named secretary/treasurer of the National American Lung Association board of directors.

In the role, Emanuel will interact closely with the national CFO and guide the board’s oversight of the Lung Association’s financial affairs. He will step down from his position on the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest Board to take on the new national position.
“John has been involved with the American Lung Association for over 10 years now, serving as a key member of our strategic team on the regional board and we will greatly miss his input and counsel,” said Harold Wimmer, chief executive officer of the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. “However, we’re excited for him in his new role and know that his contributions on the national level will be significant and very positive for the organization overall.”
In honor of Emanuel’s service to the Lung Association, the Upper Midwest Board of Directors has named its 2012-2013 Biomedical Research Award the John F. Emanuel Biomedical Research Award.
