CARW Deal of the Year Awards announced

The Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW) recently announced the winners of its annual Deal of the Year Awards.

This year’s winners are:

Industrial deal: Jeff Hoffman of Judson & Associates and Pete Slezak and Kurt Van Dyke of Cassidy Turley Barry won the award for brokering the Bridge Logistics purchase of a 152,800-square-foot industrial building at 5700 W. Bender Court in Milwaukee for $3.4 million.

Investment deal: Tom Shepherd and Mike Fardy of Colliers International|Wisconsin won the award for brokering Clarion Partners sale of four fully-leased industrial buildings, totaling 606,900 square feet of space, to Zilber Property Group for $29.04 million.

Mixed use deal: Deborah Sobczak, principal of Eastmore Real Estate LLC, won the award for providing the brokerage services for Mandel Group Inc. LightHorse|4041 development in Shorewood. The project, located on Oakland Ave., will include 84 apartments and an 18,000-square-foot Walgreens store.

Office deal: Kevin Armstrong of CBRE and Steve Palec of Cresa won the award for brokering the 68,000-square-foot office space lease for Baker Tilly’s relocation from Honey Creek Corporate Center on the west side of Milwaukee to the U.S. Bank Center at 777 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee.

Redevelopment deal: Barry Chavin and John Henderson, both of NAI MLG Commercial, for the 85-acre former Delphi site southwest of Howell and Drexel avenues in Oak Creek. The City of Oak Creek and Wispark LLC reached a deal to work together on a mixed use development plan, called Drexel Town Square, for the site.

Retail deal: Dan Cohen of Mid-America Real Estate –WI LLC and Tony Barranco of Ryan Companies won the award for Ryan’s Underwood Crossing development on Bluemound Road in Brookfield. The project includes a Target store and a Trader Joe’s store.

Adam Connor, vice president of the retail segment for NAI MLG Commercial, was named the CARW Realtor of the Year. Chad Vande Zande of CenterPoint Properties received the CARW Affiliate of the Year award. Matt Carran, director of community development for the Village of Menomonee Falls, received the Friend of CARW Award.
