*Thursday, July 3, the annual Fireworks Kite Festival will be held along Milwaukee’s lakefront. The festival is open to the public and aims to draw as many kite fliers as possible in Veterans Park. This year’s event will also feature the Giant Kites of Yves LaForest. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. until 9:25 p.m., when the U.S. Bank Fireworks at the Lakefront show begins in honor of the 4th of July. The Fireworks Kite Festival is made possible by Gift of Wings, U.S. Bank and Milwaukee County Parks. For more information, click here.

*Thursday, July 3, Jazz in the Park will feature a performance by King Soloman, a group renowned for its soulful Reggae style. The live music will run from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Happy Hour starting at 5 p.m. Jazz in the Park, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, is held each Thursday in Cathedral Square Park in downtown Milwaukee through Sept. 4. The summer concerts, which draw musicians from across the region and country, are free and open to the public and also feature food and beverage vendors onsite. *Friday, July 4, Newaukee will continue its 2014 season of the Koss Lunar Series at the Milwaukee Athletic Club Rooftop. The weekly music series, which Newaukee presents in partnership with the Koss Corporation, features live music, a DJ, food and beverage service. The series, free for Newaukee members, runs every Friday evening from 6 to 11 p.m. through Sept. 5. This week’s event will showcase Lousy Trouts and Tarik Moody. Attendees should plan to dress in business casual attire. The Milwaukee Athletic Club is located at 758 N. Broadway St. in Milwaukee. *Monday, July 7, through Thursday, July 10, the Milwaukee Brewers challenge the Philadelphia Phillies at Miller Park, located at 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee. Games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. while Thursday’s game will start at 1:10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com.

*Tuesday, July 15, the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will hold its July “Tech Trends” event as part of its monthly series that helps individuals stay up-to-date on software, Internet safety, and technological innovation. The series is led by Gjeret Stein of Sensible Gurus in Brookfield. The July 15 event will focus on the iOS7 update, AppleTV, iPhones and iPads. The information session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chamber’s office, located at 17100 W. Bluemound Rd. Ste. 203 in Brookfield. *Wednesday, July 16, FUEL Milwaukee will host an orientation at the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s offices, located at 756 N. Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee. The orientation will cover FUEL’s mission and educate prospective members about the benefits of joining the organization. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network.
