The annual awards program recognizes 10 businesses in the region that demonstrate financial growth, commitment to both customers and the community, and strong employee relations. Winning businesses were selected by an independent panel of judges. The awards program, which features networking, a luncheon and presentations, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Country Springs Hotel & Conference Center, located at 2810 Golf Rd. in Pewaukee. *Thursday, June 11, East Town Association will launch the 2015 season of “Jazz in the Park.” The free outdoor music series, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, brings live jazz to Cathedral Square in downtown Milwaukee. Concerts are held each Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. The music kicks off at 6 p.m. with a happy hour scheduled for 5 p.m. This week’s show will feature The Jimmys, a group comprised of a keyboardist, drummer, four-piece horn section, bass guitarist, blues guitarist and vocals. “Jazz in the Park” runs through Thursday, Sept. 3.
