Brookfield Chamber forms young professionals group

Organizations:

The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce has created a new subsidiary networking group, Summit, the organization’s first young professionals networking group.
The purpose of the group is to offer young professionals growth opportunities, both professionally and personally, and to bring the community of Brookfield and the area a resource for young professionals.
The meetings will be held monthly at various chamber member businesses. The topics of discussion will vary each month, ranging from education and guest speakers to networking and even community service events.
Summit was envisioned by two young members of the Brookfield Chamber, Timothy Schlosser and Joseph Schreck of Strategic Wealth Management Group LLC. They worked in collaboration with Carol White and Dan Schultz of the chamber to develop a strategic plan of action in developing Summit.
“We took a good hard look at the current networking opportunities the chamber offers and while they served us well, we recognized a need for targeted programs for young professionals. The next step was to learn from others who walked before us,” Schlosser said.
The first Summit kickoff meeting will be held at Charro, 17800 W. Bluemound Road, Brookfield, on Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event is free to attend. Advance registration is required by noon on Monday, Sept. 20. To register, call (262) 786-1886.
