Milwaukee-based Telkonet Inc., developer of the EcoSmart energy management platform, recently announced that a United States military academy, which the firm declined to name, is the latest military institution to deploy its network-enabled energy-saving technology.

Telkonet

Telkonet was awarded a contract for $226,000 to provide the SmartEnergy platform in residence halls at the military academy. Telkonet will install a network-enabled SmartEnergy energy management system, including intelligent networked thermostats, occupancy sensors, and door contacts. An integral component of the solution is the online management platform, which will allow the military academy to monitor and control each in-room HVAC system remotely.

DCI Cheese

DCI Cheese Company, Richfield, has launched “Always a Winner,” an enter-to-win contest sponsored by King’s Choice, the company’s line of imported Danish, Dutch and German cheeses. One Grand Prize winner will receive a $2,000 Vegas.com gift card that can be used to pay for lodging, dining, tickets to shows and more in Las Vegas.

In-store shelf talkers featuring contest information and a coupon can be found in participating retailers through Nov. 30. Additionally, consumers with smart phones can connect directly to the promotion’s website www.KingsChoiceCheese.com for recipes and wine pairings via the promotional display’s QR code. This website will also feature an online entry form and rules detailing the specifics of the contest, as well as a slot machine-styled game that further emphasizes the promotion’s Las Vegas theme.

Deloitte

The Milwaukee office of Deloitte LLP recently released its 2011 Wisconsin 75 list. All public and privately owned companies with $50 million or more in annual revenues and employee, family or individual(s) majority ownership are eligible to be included on the Wisconsin 75. Companies must be headquartered in Wisconsin and not a subsidiary of a foreign-owned entity or a company located outside of the state. Public companies are eligible if there is a majority ownership by an individual(s), family or employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The Wisconsin 75 excludes cooperatives, venture capital-owned companies, and businesses that provide accounting, tax, legal and consulting services. The company started as medical courier but never officially had a separate division. The company has added several new key personnel with several years of medical logistics experience. The company specializes in pharmacuetical pickup and delivery as well as warehousing, hospital logistics, lab, oncology, histology, blood bank, organ, radioactive transport, and bio-hazard. The new division is operating 24/7, handling medical pickup and delivery, stats, and blood delivery.
