Foley & Lardner

The law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP was recently recognized by CIO magazine as one of the 2011 CIO 100 honorees. This is the eighth time Foley has been honored with this recognition. Foley was recognized with this award in large part due to the firm’s technology allowance program, which enables attorneys to purchase their preferred computing and mobile devices, based on their individual working needs, which helps them provide customized client service. Since implementing the program Foley said it has enhanced user satisfaction, provided an increased level of mobile technology and reduced costs.

Clifton Gunderson LLP

Wauwatosa-based Clifton Gunderson has been named to the 2011 Best Accounting Firms for Women list by the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) and the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA). The best accounting firms were selected from the 25 firms that participated in the 2011 Accounting MOVE Project, sponsored by the ASWA and AWSCPA, and made possible with the support of Rothstein Kass & Co. and Moss Adams LLP. Work-life changes instituted by Clifton Gunderson CEO Kris McMasters have significantly contributed to the firm’s high retention rates and the fact that 44 percent of the firm’s senior managers are women, the firm said. Winning firms were ranked on the range, depth and success of programs and workplace culture proven to remove barriers to women’s success, especially at midlevel and above. The MOVE methodology pivots on four factors – money, opportunity, vital supports for work/life and entrepreneurship– known to advance women in the workplace.
