Von Briesen & Roper

Milwaukee-based Von Briesen & Roper S.C., has been nominated for a 2011 International Legal Technology Association Emerging Technology Champion Award for its open source intranet project known as vBDash, which has a similar look, feel and functionality to iGoogle.

vBDash offers movable gadget boxes with both internal and external content for all employees of the firm. Later this year the product will also offer additional social aspects similar to a secure Twitter-like internal microblog feed where employees can post links, updates and news. Opting to use emerging tools and software rather than mainstream Internet software has saved the company money in licensing fees and provided the firm with more options.
