Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett will be the featured guest at the Milwaukee Press Club’s next Newsmaker Luncheon on Wednesday, May 19.
The public is invited to attend the Newsmaker Luncheon.
Barrett, a Democrat, is running to be the next governor of Wisconsin. He will square off with a Republican in November.
Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and former Congressman Mark Neumann are vying for the Republican nomination.
The Newsmaker Luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St. Barrett will be interviewed by a panel of professional journalists. The event will be moderated by BizTimes Milwaukee executive editor Steve Jagler.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Neumann was featured as a Newsmaker by the club earlier this month, and fellow Republicans Scott Walker and Dick Leinenkugel will be featured at later dates.
The cost to attend is $15 for Milwaukee Press Club members, $20 for non-members and $10 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited. Pre-registration and advance payment is required and may be done online at www.milwaukeepressclub.org. For additional information, call (262) 894-2224.
