Through a program called Striving to Quit, adult BadgerCare Plus members in Milwaukee County can get free help to quit smoking and may be eligible to receive $80 in gift cards for participating.
Those interested in participating can call the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (800-784-8669) to sign up before recruitment ends April 14. The Quit Line is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The program is a partnership between the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Wisconsin Medicaid Program and the University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention.
