Servant, an independent insurance and benefits firm, has 14 employees, all of whom will remain with the company in the current office locations. Ansay, a regional insurance and benefit solutions agency, now has 225 employees at locations in Port Washington, Cedarburg, Burlington, West Bend, Marshfield, Mosinee, Manitowoc, Madison, Appleton and Green Bay.

“We are always about perpetuating the people because the people have the relationships and are strategic to the success,” said Mike Ansay, chief executive officer of Ansay & Associates. “Our overall strategy when we do these things is we call it life after the deal. The cultures are similar because they’re all about doing what’s best on behalf of the customer.”

Ansay & Associates also recently acquired Cedarburg-based Koehler Insurance. The company plans to continue acquiring other insurance companies, and could complete two more deals this year, Ansay said.

“It’s not only merger and acquisition growth, it’s organic growth,” he said. “When you’re growing companies, you have more resources and you can secure more people. In our industry, there’s a lot of this going on because of the age of owners of the organizations and they’re looking to capitalize on their asset.”

The acquisitions are also being driven by the need to remain competitive and innovative in the marketplace, Ansay said.

“My wife, Tamia, and I are excited with the unique nature of the Ansay model which enables our wonderful team of insurance professionals to keep right on serving our valued clients, yet provides access to more products, services and resources for our clients,” said Mark Priestaf, CIC, CRM, president of Servant Insurance Services. He will stay on in a leadership role.
