ACTS Housing receives $50,000 grant

Organizations:

JPMorgan Chase has awarded a $50,000 grant to ACTS Housing to support the nonprofit as it works to pull Milwaukee out of its foreclosure crisis.

“We are honored to be receiving this grant from JPMorgan Chase,” said Michael Gosman, assistant director of ACTS Housing. “These funds will be critical in our work to revitalize Milwaukee neighborhoods. JPMorgan Chase’s investment in helping to solve Milwaukee’s foreclosure crisis is to be commended.”

The grant will add to a $200,000 contract that ACTS Housing has secured with the City of Milwaukee under Mayor Tom Barrett’s Strong Neighborhoods Plan. Part of that plan aims to sell City-owned properties to help Milwaukee recover. ACTS is stepping up to assist with those sales. The grant dollars from JPMorgan Chase will funnel into this effort to ultimately enable more renters to become homeowners in Milwaukee.
