What has fueled your company’s growth?: “Our growth has been in the wide array of value-added processing and fabricating services we offer.”

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?: “Our major obstacle is recruiting and retaining individuals for material handler positions, primarily on the 2nd shift. We are in the process of developing strategies that will strengthen our recruitment approches, reduce turnover and retain qualifed staff.”

Do you plan any changes in your company in the upcoming months?: “Our recently enhanced on-the-job training program will be rolled out within the next few months. By equipping our workers with the appropriate skill set, we will gain operational effectiveness and efficiency, increase job satisfaction and remain an attractive workplace. The company has also committed resources for upgrades to our warehouse equipment which are scheduled to be installed during the 4th quarter of 2013.”

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?: “Most observers of the steel market are saying that the general market conditions are poor. Steel prices remain relatively low as the U.S. continues to slowly recover from the Great Recession.”

What is your company’s most important growth strategy right now?: “Our growth strategy is focused on offering our customers value added services.”
