Helios to celebrate opening today
Helios USA LLC will celebrate the opening of its new manufacturing facility at 1207 W. Canal St. in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley today. Helios, a startup solar panel manufacturer, began producing solar panels inside its 38,000 square foot facility about three weeks ago.
"Milwaukee’s commitment to renewable energy and its expertise in manufacturing makes this an ideal location for Helios. Together we can contribute to a renewed strength in manufacturing by delivering clean, safe, and economical energy," said Steve Ostrenga, CEO, Helios. "After months of planning, we’re looking forward to celebrating and thanking those that helped achieve our shared vision of creating this energy efficient facility."
The company, who will employ about 24 workers in its manufacturing operations by the end of the first quarter, hopes to have about 50 full time employees when it is fully operational.
