WEDC seeks export award applications

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. is seeking applicants for the 2017 Governor’s Export Achievement awards.

Any Wisconsin company or organization successfully engaging in, or assisting in the export of, products or services produced in Wisconsin is eligible to apply. Company employees or those with knowledge of a deserving company can submit an award nomination for consideration.

The preliminary nomination requires a short narrative (250 words or fewer) about the company’s recent exporting accomplishments. The narrative should focus on innovative elements of the company’s international strategy and export growth.

The online nomination form can be found at inwisconsin.com/exportawards. Preliminary entries are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of international trade experts. A group of semifinalists will be asked to submit a more detailed application.

Winners will be recognized at the Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee in May.
