Maley is a veteran journalist and communications specialist who has more than 20 years of experience working in the media in Wisconsin, including 16 years at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. At the state’s largest newspaper, Maley held a variety of editing positions, including seven years as state government and politics editor. Prior to joining the WEDC, he was a regional editor for Patch.com, where he oversaw 15 local community websites in metro Milwaukee.

“Mark’s vast experience in working with the media and communicating with the public will be great assets to WEDC as the organization continues to inform our stakeholders about our continuing efforts to help spur economic growth and create jobs in Wisconsin,” said Reed Hall, WEDC secretary and chief executive officer.
