WEDC approves tax credits, loans for start-ups

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation today announced approval of early stage tax credits for four emerging Wisconsin companies.

 
WEDC approved Qualified News Business Venture tax credits for Ebullient Technologies, Madison; WeMontage, Neenah; Zero Locus, Inc., Milwaukee; and Healthfinch, Inc., Madison.
The Qualified New Business Venture status makes investors in the company eligible for a 25 percent tax credit on the amount they invest in the business.

Milwaukee-based Zero Locus Inc. is developing software systems and algorithms to perform analytics on very large data sets. The company is working with gener8tor and American Family Insurance to address a specific concern within American Family lnsurance that can be solved using knowledge, methods, and tools that can be generalized to other problem areas in multiple industries.
