Waukesha Chamber to honor Small Businesses of the Year

The Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce (WCCC) and Small Business Times will present the 2005 Top Ten Small Business of the Year Awards luncheon on Thursday, June 23.
This year’s winners are: Anderson Seal Inc., a New Berlin-based manufacturer; API Software Inc., a Hartford-based software development company; Comstar LLC., a Waukesha-based Web site developer; Emteq, a Muskego-based manufacturer; Hallmark Building Supplies Inc., a Milwaukee-based wholesale distribution company that will move to Waukesha in June; Innovative Signs Inc., a Waukesha-based graphic arts company; Kesslers Diamond Center, a Menomonee Falls-based jeweler; Outpost Natural Foods Cooperative, a Milwaukee-based retailer; PyraMax Bank, a Greenfield-based financial services firm; and Total Comfort of Wisconsin Inc., a Pewaukee-based mechanical contractor.
The awards are presented each year to companies, based on the following criteria: no more than 250 employees; growth in employees or sales; minimum of two years in business; based in southeastern Wisconsin; committed to good business practices; history of good employee relations and benefits; strong customer focus; and financial growth and consistency.
The winners will receive their awards at the luncheon June 23, with registration and networking beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the award program at noon. Closing remarks will take place at 1:15 p.m. with the announcement of the 2005 Small Business of the Year Award.
Tickets are available for $40.00 for chamber members and $400 for a table of 10. The registration for non-chamber members is $50. Registrations are due by June 17.
