Walker to be Press Club’s next ‘Newsmaker’

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, a Republican candidate for Wisconsin governor, will be the featured guest at the Milwaukee Press Club’s next Newsmaker Luncheon.
The event will take place on Friday, June 11, from 11:45 to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
Walker is being challenged for the GOP nomination by former Congressman Mark Neumann. The winner of the Republican primary will square off against Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, a Democrat.
Neumann was featured as a Newsmaker by the club last month, and Barrett was the club’s Newsmaker on Wednesday.
A panel of professional journalists will interview Walker during the Newsmaker Luncheon. The event will be moderated by BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler.
