The land at 5350 S. 76th St., is the proposed site of a 160-unit apartment complex being developed by General Capital Group and Milwaukee-based Robert Joseph Properties.

The complex will include three buildings featuring one- and two-bedroom units and underground parking.

A clubhouse will be built in between the two buildings on the west side of the development and a courtyard will link the north and south buildings, according to plans submitted to the village.

The site is the location of a former tire, battery and auto center.

Todd Michaels, Greendale village manager, said the village purchased the property and conveyed it to the developer the same day.

“That project is moving forward as fast as possible,” Michaels said.
