What has fueled your company’s growth?
We continue to assess and invest in our people and systems. Our people are our strength, and having good people contributes to us being able to show potential customers what we can do for them.
What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?
Finding talent. We always believe there are opportunities out there but it takes the right people to make it happen. This isn’t just an obstacle for True Process, but for businesses everywhere.
Do you plan any changes in your company in the upcoming months?
The changes we are making are continued investments in the company and people. We are pursuing our ISO certification right now which will really help our business development and sales process. We are also assessing investing in or acquiring our own products and intellectual property.
Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them?
My father, Duane Dunsirn. He was, and still is, an excellent mentor. Someone who has experienced being an owner and a leader.
I learned early on that there are things that you just need to do when starting a business and you need to be surrounded by exceptional people who can execute on those things.
What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?
Overall the outlook is good. Today I really think you have to navigate and modify your strategy to deal with the overall business climate. We have our niche but that does not mean we can’t expand that niche.
What is your company’s key strategy for rising out of the recession?
It almost feels like there is a new normal and that, having grown every year since 2004 through some turbulent economic times, things can only get better. To be honest, I really don’t think of rising out of the recession, but rather continue to look at True Process and our strategy and find out what we can do and how we can do it better. I focus on bringing our talent and experience to customers and future customers.
