Troyk Printing Corp. acquired by Illinois printer

Franklin-based Troyk Printing Corp. has been acquired by Niles, Ill.-based printing company The Garvey Group LLC.

The Garvey Group has existing facilities at 4601 S. Fifth St. in Milwaukee and 7900 Durand Ave. in Sturtevant. It also has a location in Los Angeles. The company serves the packaging, entertainment, outdoor and retail industries with printing, inventory management, distribution and prototyping.

Troyk was founded in 1947 as G.A. Carley Advertising and has been owned by Brian and Diane Troyk since 1988. The name was changed to Troyk Printing in 2000. It offers screen, offset and digital printing, as well as cutting, routing, heat bending, taping, grommeting, laminating, assembly, kit packing and distribution. The company mainly produces retail in-store signage, point of purchase displays and out of home signage.

The Garvey Group expects the acquisition will add value to its large format in-store, digital, screen and fulfillment products and expand its capability to serve national retailers for large format, point-of-purchase and brand marketing projects.

“Troyk has earned strong client loyalty by providing innovative solutions, superior quality and great flexibility, a philosophy we share,” said Ed Garvey, chief executive officer of The Garvey Group. “I am thrilled to welcome the Troyk team to The Garvey Group and I am convinced that all of our customers and our employees will benefit as we integrate and expand our offerings. With this acquisition we add additional digital and screen print capabilities to our manufacturing fleet, along with an expanded range of finishing solutions, all managed by some very smart people.”
