Waukesha-based The Spancrete Group Inc. announced that it has acquired MobileGreen Precast LLC, the nation’s first mobile precast company, and its environmentally and economically friendly mobile precast technology.

The mobile precast model involves developing temporary precast plants near a project, reducing transportation requirements and fuel inefficiencies, resulting in reduced construction costs and numerous environmental benefits.

“This proprietary manufacturing technology gives Spancrete the opportunity to expand our regional operations to experience a broader national reach,” said John Nagy, president and CEO of The Spancrete Group, Inc. “We are growing the precast industry by providing precast manufacturing services to locations where it otherwise may be difficult; and, offering a construction solution that minimizes its impact on the environment and reduces overall expenditures.”

“We are extremely excited about our relationship with Spancrete,” said Jeff Marek, president of MobileGreen Precast, LLC.  “MobileGreen Precast provides green solutions for contractors, owners and developers across the nation. MobileGreen Precast adds a fluid and vibrant component to the standard precast business model – dramatically changing the industry.”
