Snap Fitness planning to make a big splash in southeastern Wisconsin

Chanhassen, Minn.-based Snap Fitness Inc. has opened 16 fitness centers in southeastern Wisconsin and is planning to open another 24 fitness centers in the region. The company was founded in 2003. It has about 800 fitness center locations in the United States, and is opening 30 to 40 new locations each month. Snap Fitness center typically occupy about 3,500 square feet of space. They are compact, 24-hour fitness clubs that the company says offer fast, convenient and affordable workouts with the latest exercise equipment. The company plans to open fitness centers in Brookfield at 14335 W. Capitol Drive and at North Avenue and Calhoun Road, Elkhorn, Franksville, in Grafton at Washington Street and 12th Avenue, in Hartford at 1595 E. Sumner St., Lake Geneva, in Kenosha at 5512 75th St., in Menomonee Falls at Silver Spring Drive and Creekwood Crossing and at N82 W15485 Appleton Ave., in Mequon at Mequon Road and Port Washington Road, in the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee at Menomonee and Erie streets, Mukwonago, in New Berlin at National Avenue and Moorland Road, in Port Washington at Grand Avenue and Franklin Street, in Shorewood at Capitol and Wilson drives, Sturtevant, in Sussex at Highway W and Highway 164, Twin Lakes, Union Grove, in Waukesha at North Grandview Boulevard and Summit Avenue, in West Allis at 7600 W. Oklahoma Ave., in West Bend at 821 S. Main St. and in Whitewater.
