Slovenian company acquires Brookfield software firm

Euro Plus, the developer of NiceLabel software, today announced it has acquired all of the assets of Brookfield-based Niceware International through its subsidiary NiceLabel Americas Inc.

Niceware will be integrated into NiceLabel’s global organization and be led by vice president and general manager Lee Patty.

Niceware is an independent software vendor (ISV) specializing in application workflow design and implementation built upon today’s leading software platforms.

Headquartered in Slovenia, EMEA, NiceLabel is a leading software development company in the automatic identification data capture (AIDC) industry.

“NiceLabel’s corporate mission is to become the leading global provider of professional labeling software. The acquisition of Niceware brings us another step closer to accomplishing this goal. Niceware and its channel partners have done an excellent job of building the NiceLabel brand in North America and we are delighted to have them part of the global NiceLabel team,” said Matej Kosmrlj, NiceLabel managing director.

“Niceware has distributed NiceLabel in the Americas since 2002 focusing on adding real value through its technical service group. With the support of over 700 valued resellers we have established NiceLabel as the product of choice with thousands of end users. This acquisition will take the Niceware business to the next level in the global AIDC marketplace,” said Andrew Matter, former president and joint founder of Niceware International.
