Grand opening set for March 9

Organizations:

Punch Bowl Social in downtown Milwaukee is set to open on March 9 as the Denver-based “eatertainment” chain’s first Wisconsin location.

The 24,500-square-foot, two-level venue, located in the Entertainment Block near Fiserv Forum, includes three bars, eight bowling lanes, three private karaoke rooms, an arcade, Wisconsin-themed decor and enough space to fit 1,000 people.

While the array of gaming and entertainment offerings sets the scene throughout the space, Punch Bowl Social’s mainstay is its scratch-made food and beverages, said CEO and founder Robert Thompson.

Items on the menu include shareable platters, burgers, tacos, salads and entrees like the Chicken ‘n Waffles and Roasted Poblano Baked Mac & Cheese. From its full service bar, drinkers can choose from a variety of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages including milkshakes, fresh pressed juice, housemade soda, craft cocktails and its signature punch.

Tickets for Punch Bowl Social’s grand opening event, taking place Saturday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., can be purchased on its website.

Upon its opening, the concept will operate with limited hours on weekdays, from 4 p.m. to close, until March 31. During weekends, it will be open from 9 a.m to close on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
