Waukesha-based R&R Insurance Services announced it has acquired Bartelt Insurance Agency in Kewaskum.
R&R, which has about 175 employees, has additional offices in Menomonee Falls, West Bend, Oconomowoc, Beaver Dam and Middleton. It was founded in 1975 and has become one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the Midwest, offering business, personal and health insurance from both regional and national carriers.
Bartelt has two employees, including owner Thomas Bartelt. He will be retiring. R&R will keep the Kewaskum office open, and retain the other employee. The transaction price was not disclosed.
According to R&R, the acquisition will expand its service and insurance solution offerings and renew its commitment to Waukesha and Washington counties.
“R&R shares our commitment in providing clients with personal service and the highest level of knowledge and expertise,” said Thomas Bartelt, owner of Bartelt Insurance Agency. “We are grateful for the relationship we have built with R&R over the last 39 years.”
“This is a very exciting opportunity for both R&R and Bartelt. It reinforces our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding service in southeastern Wisconsin,” said Ken Riesch, president and owner of R&R Insurance.
