Rockwell promotes O’Reilly to oversee Asia Pacific Region

Tom O’Reilly has been appointed president of Rockwell Automation Inc.’s Asia Pacific Region.

O’Reilly, most recently managing director, Greater China, will report to John McDermott, senior vice president, Global Sales and Marketing. O’Reilly will be responsible for the company’s growth and performance strategy and growing market share in this important region.

O’Reilly has 28 years of service with Rockwell Automation and 16 years in sales and country leadership roles in Japan, Korea and China.

“Tom’s extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific Region makes him the ideal candidate for this important leadership role,” said McDermott. “His long-term record of building high-performance teams and developing leaders in emerging markets will be critical to achieving our future business objectives in the region,” emphasized McDermott.

The Asia-Pacific region contributed $942 million in sales during the Milwaukee-based company’s fiscal year 2012 and has more than 3,800 employees.
