Milwaukee County’s economic development director to join private sector.

Robert Dennik will leave his job as the director of economic and community development for Milwaukee County to become a vice president for Pewaukee-based VJS Construction Services. He will join VJS on Oct. 1. At VJS, Dennik will work on expanding the company’s business development efforts. "We are delighted to have someone of Bob’s political background and experience to join our team to help us grow in our key strategic markets and enhance the services we deliver to our clients," said Rick Andritsch, vice president of business development for VJS. "He understands the business of construction and development and will be a great asset in assisting VJS in closing more deals." In his Milwaukee County post, Dennik was involved in bringing several developments to the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa, including the 500,000-square-foot GE Healthcare world headquarters. He also was involved in efforts to attract development to the Park East corridor.

Brookfield-based Shorewest Realtors recently added Heather Reliford as a sales associate in its Milwaukee office at 7235 W. Appleton Ave., Greg Gifford as a sales associate in its Delavan office, and Mary Ann Loenneke as a sales associate in the Lake Geneva office.

Wauwatosa-based AG Architecture recently added Andrew Korb to its architecture team.

The Brookfield office of Minneapolis-based M.A. Mortenson Co. recently hired Brian Filkins as an integrated construction coordinator.
