Versant to move to Third Ward
Branding, marketing and communications firm Versant announced today that it will move its headquarters office from the far northwest side of Milwaukee to the city’s Historic Third Ward neighborhood. Versant’s office is currently located at 11000 W. Park Place.Its new location will be in the Landmark Building at 316 N. Milwaukee St. The company is leasing nearly 3,000 square feet in the Third Ward building. It will make the move on May 1. There will be about 15 employees in the office. “Our lease is up here (in the Park Place building),” said Versant chief executive officer Will Ruch. “We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get down to the vibrancy of that area. We think that’s going to be a great place for our people and our clients.”

Summit Credit Union to open new Waukesha branch
Madison-based Summit Credit Union plans to open a new branch at 1103 Spring City Lane in Waukesha on March 23. The credit union, which merged with West Allis-based Greater Milwaukee Credit Union in March 2014, is building the 3,400-square-foot branch to replace its current Waukesha location, at 2140 W. St. Paul Ave. That branch will close on March 21. Madison-based Strang Inc. is constructing the new facility, which will have a mostly glass façade and will include a drive-through teller area with canopy. Inside, teller pods will replace traditional teller lines, which Summit feels create a more welcoming environment. Summit Credit Union has 30 locations throughout the Madison and Milwaukee areas, with more than 142,000 members and $2.1 billion in assets.

Panda Express planned in West Bend
Milwaukee-based West Bend Real Estate Investment LLC plans to build a 2,635-square-foot Panda Express restaurant at 1200 S. Main St. A former Dairy Queen restaurant building on the site will be demolished.

Spec industrial building planned in West Bend
Rasmussen Industrial properties plans to build a 20,000-square-foot speculative industrial building on a vacant 3.5-acre site at the southeast corner of Enterprise Street and Stockhausen Lane in the Wingate Creek Business Park in West Bend.

Home planned on narrow East Side lot
Robert Schmidt plans to build a two-story, 2,146-square-foot single family home on a narrow lot at 2131 N. Terrace Ave. on the East Side of Milwaukee.

Bublr Bike station planned near Brady Street
Midwest Bike Share plans to add a Bublr Bikes public bike share station at the Three Holy Women (St. Hedwig’s) parish building at 1702 N. Humboldt Ave. near Brady Street on the East Side of Milwaukee.

New restaurants planned in Milwaukee
Baba Ghanouj Inc. plans to open a restaurant, called Baba Ghanouj, at 1888 N. Humboldt Ave. in Milwaukee’s Lower East Side neighborhood. The registered agent for Baba Ghanouj Inc. is Emad Abdelsalam of Pewaukee, according to state records. Foot Paw LLC plans to open a restaurant called Amilinda at 315 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. The registered agent for Foot Paw is Orry Leon of Milwaukee. Strada Company LLC plans to open a restaurant called Strada Pizza at 2301 S. Howell Ave. in Milwaukee. The registered agent for Strada Company is Fekrije Besiri.
