The Brewers Community Foundation in partnership with the Guest House of Milwaukee will kick off it’s 30 year anniversary of helping homeless individuals in the Milwaukee area on Monday, Jan. 9.
“We’re so proud to have the Brewers Community Foundation as our Grand Slam sponsor,” said Cindy Krahenbuhl, executive director of the Guest House of Milwaukee. “With the assistance of the Famous Racing Sausages, we plan on showing how something as simple as a warm place to sleep can make all the difference for some individuals. We’re grateful to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for funding our ‘overflow’ shelter during the winter months.”
Brewers’ Racing Sausages will set up cots for homeless men to sleep on at the Guest House, located at 1216 N. 13th St. beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Brewers Community Foundation granted the Guest House $30,000 toward its efforts in the community, with the potential for other partnership opportunities throughout the year.
