Racine Tea Party event features rail critics

    Noted rail critic Randal O’Toole will be the featured speaker at a public forum on “expensive new rail transit systems in southeastern Wisconsin” to be presented by the Racine Tea Party.
    Toole is a senior fellow with the Cato Institute specializing in Urban Growth and Transportation.
    O’Toole is the author of “Great Rail Disasters: The Impact of Rail Transit on Urban Livability.”
    The forum also will feature State Rep. Robin Vos (R-Caledonia), who also has been critical of the proposed Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee (KRM) commuter rail project.
    In addition to the Racine Tea Party, the event is co-sponsored by the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the Wisconsin Club for Growth and the Wisconsin GrandSons of Liberty.
    The event will take place Tuesday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at South Hills Country Club in Franksville.
