How does the market look to you? “I believe it is a difficult market, but we are still finding opportunities to lend on good deals with good clients.”

What are you working on now? “Mostly refinances…industrial, office, retail, and multi-family.  The purchases I am currently working on are mostly multi-families. Multi families are really the biggest opportunity right now. There are more of them on the market and the prices are better. Equitable has very competitive rates and my clients are getting good deals.”

What was the best investment/client/project you’ve been involved with? “I’ve been fortunate to be involved with many wonderful clients and projects. One of the most successful projects I’ve worked on included the refinancing of four commercial office properties for a group of investors. We had to overcome some legal and appraisal issues but were able secure competitive financing for them. I’ve received numerous referrals from them and have even closed more deals for them because of the high quality service we were able to provide.”

What was the funniest moment of your career? “Playing in the REACH (Real Estate Alliance for Charity) Baseball Outing…I was playing for one team but was asked to sub for another who was short players. I hit the ball, ran to first base, tripped over the first basemen’s foot, flew over the base and scraped up my arm and knees (I still have the scar on my arm). All my clients were watching and were horrified…but I didn’t cry. I stuck it out and finished two more games!”
