Persohn holds a bachelor’s degree in business focusing on accounting and finance from the University of Minnesota. Wurster has nine years of experience in the financial industry.

The Brookfield office of M. A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, hired Brian Boecker as assistant project manager, Karen Fischer as project administrative assistant, Jessica Gluckman as project engineer and Mike Kaiser as design phase coordinator. Boecker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and construction management from UW-Stout. Fischer holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UW-Milwaukee. Prior to joining Mortenson, Gluckman served as a construction supervisor for Pieper Electric, Milwaukee, for eight years. Kaiser has more than six years of experience in 3-D modeling design and fabrication, drafting and mechanical design.
The Milwaukee office of Gilbane, Providence, R.I., promoted Brandon Steinhauer to senior business development coordinator; Andy Wiegman to preconstruction manager for the north central region; John Gilroy to senior project manager; and Tony Coraggio and Matt Tadisch to assistant project manager positions. Dan Goyette joined Alverno College, Milwaukee, as director of financial aid. Goyette has more than 35 years of experience in financial aid positions. Prior to joining Alverno, Goyette had served as director of the Office of Student Financial Aid at Marquette University since 1979.
Joe Donovan joined School Perceptions, Slinger, as vice president for research and communications. Prior to joining School Perceptions, Donovan served as a director in the office of U.S. Senator Herb Kohl and as communications officer and spokesperson in the office of State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Mary DeNoble joined Children’s Hospital and Health System, Wauwatosa, as director of organization development. Prior to joining the health system, DeNoble served as the director if leadership and career development at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in science from UW-Madison.
Dr. Navtej Purewal joined Advanced Pain Management, Greenfield, as an affiliated physician. Purewal has more than 15 years of experience in anesthesiology and more than 10 years of experience in pain management. He will treat patients from the United Medical Center, Milwaukee, and will continue to be affiliated with Wisconsin Surgery Center, Milwaukee, where he has provided care since 2003.

Helen “Cookie” Mueller will serve as president of the board of directors for the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center (MCSC), Milwaukee. A. Eugene Neyhart will serve as vice president, Gregory Smith will serve as secretary and Bob Mueller will serve a second year as treasurer. Mueller is a retired Milwaukee Public School teacher and serves as president of the South Shore Yacht Club (SSYC) Junior Sailing Foundation, Milwaukee. Neyhart joined the board of directors for MCSC in 1987 and previously served as treasurer, board president and secretary. Smith serves as senior vice president and chief information officer for Wheaton Franciscan Services, Wheaton, Ill. Smith also serves on the executive committee for MCSC.
Debbie Sweeney joined Hays Companies of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, as vice president. Sweeney has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Hays Companies, Sweeney worked for the Milwaukee office of Willis Group, London.
Darrin Drollinger, vice president of statistics, technical and safety services for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), West Allis, joined the board of directors for the American National Standards Institute, Milwaukee, and the American Society for Quality, Milwaukee, (ANSI-ASQ) National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

WUWM 89.7 FM Milwaukee Public Radio promoted Amanda Shalhoub to assistant program director and hired Maria Dixon as a donor fulfillment specialist. Shalhoub has been with WUWM since 2003 and most recently served as a broadcast specialist. She also serves as co-host of Café Tonight. Dixon holds two bachelors degrees, in criminal justice and political science anda master’s degree in criminal justice from UW-Milwaukee.
Mark Krause, president of Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milwaukee, will serve as president-elect of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA), Sterling, Va. Krause has served on the ICCFA board of directors since 1999 and previously served as vice president of the education steering committee, membership committee and services steering committee.
