Ron Sonntag Public Relations, Milwaukee, promoted Sara Pellowski to account coordinator. Pellowski most recently served as an intern. She holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

John Atlee joined Marketing Images, Waukesha, as business development manager. Atlee has more than 10 years of sales experience.

Mercury Communications Partners, Elm Grove, promoted Christian Keene to director of creative services. Keene most recently served as art director.

Blue Horse, Milwaukee, promoted Kristen Smith to senior media buyer. Smith joined Blue Horse in 2005 and most recently served as media buyer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Iowa State University.

Banking & Finance

Mitchell Bank, Milwaukee, promoted Jackie Martinez to assistant vice president of marketing and community development. Martinez joined Mitchell Bank in 1994 and most recently served as marketing officer.

Integrated Financial Solutions (IFS), Delafield, hired Lisa Persohn as assistant to the wealth management services director and Dorothy Wurster as operations manager. Persohn holds a bachelor’s degree in business focusing on accounting and finance from the University of Minnesota. Wurster has nine years of experience in the financial industry.

Michael Franks joined Hogan Financial Management, Milwaukee, as a financial advisor. Franks has more than 12 years of experience in the financial industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Cornell University.

Community Bank & Trust, Sheboygan, promoted Derrick Hermann to business banking officer and Toni Reed to assistant vice president and operations officer at the Plymouth location; and Brenda Leonhardt to customer service manager, Amanda Hall to deposit operations officer at the corporate location and Katia Kortchaguina to assistant vice president at the corporate location.

Building & Construction

The Brookfield office of M. A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, hired Brian Boecker as assistant project manager, Karen Fischer as project administrative assistant, Jessica Gluckman as project engineer and Mike Kaiser as design phase coordinator. Boecker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and construction management from UW-Stout. Fischer holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UW-Milwaukee. Prior to joining Mortenson, Gluckman served as a construction supervisor for Pieper Electric, Milwaukee, for eight years. Kaiser has more than six years of experience in 3-D modeling design and fabrication, drafting and mechanical design.

The Milwaukee office of Gilbane, Providence, R.I., promoted Brandon Steinhauer to senior business development coordinator; Andy Wiegman to preconstruction manager for the north central region; John Gilroy to senior project manager; and Tony Coraggio and Matt Tadisch to assistant project manager positions. Steinhauer has been with Gilbane for more than four years. Gilroy has about 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Coraggio most recently served as project engineer. Tadisch holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Peerless Electric, Brookfield, hired Trung Lee as manager of the design/build construction team and Josh Pitzo as a member of the estimating department. Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the electrical industry. Pitzo has more than eight years of field experience.

Brillo Home Improvements, Milwaukee, hired Melissa Paulson as an interior designer; Maggie Uravich as office manager and Sean Scruiba and Dan Gumieny as remodeler’s apprentices.


Pinnacle XL, Milwaukee, promoted Melissa Opad to account manager. Opad most recently served as an account services representative.


Dan Goyette joined Alverno College, Milwaukee, as director of financial aid. Goyette has more than 35 years of experience in financial aid positions. Prior to joining Alverno, Goyette had served as director of the Office of Student Financial Aid at Marquette University since 1979.

Joe Donovan joined School Perceptions, Slinger, as vice president for research and communications. Prior to joining School Perceptions, Donovan served as a director in the office of U.S. Senator Herb Kohl and as communications officer and spokesperson in the office of State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Health Care

Mary DeNoble joined Children’s Hospital and Health System, Wauwatosa, as director of organization development. Prior to joining the health system, DeNoble served as the director if leadership and career development at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in science from UW-Madison.

Dr. Navtej Purewal joined Advanced Pain Management, Greenfield, as an affiliated physician. Purewal has more than 15 years of experience in anesthesiology and more than 10 years of experience in pain management. He will treat patients from the United Medical Center, Milwaukee, and will continue to be affiliated with Wisconsin Surgery Center, Milwaukee, where he has provided care since 2003.

Hospitality & Entertainment

Helen “Cookie” Mueller will serve as president of the board of directors for the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center (MCSC), Milwaukee. A. Eugene Neyhart will serve as vice president, Gregory Smith will serve as secretary and Bob Mueller will serve a second year as treasurer. Mueller is a retired Milwaukee Public School teacher and serves as president of the South Shore Yacht Club (SSYC) Junior Sailing Foundation, Milwaukee. Neyhart joined the board of directors for MCSC in 1987 and previously served as treasurer, board president and secretary. Smith serves as senior vice president and chief information officer for Wheaton Franciscan Services, Wheaton, Ill. Smith also serves on the executive committee for MCSC.


Debbie Sweeney joined Hays Companies of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, as vice president. Sweeney has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Hays Companies, Sweeney worked for the Milwaukee office of Willis Group, London.


Darrin Drollinger, vice president of statistics, technical and safety services for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), West Allis, joined the board of directors for the American National Standards Institute, Milwaukee, and the American Society for Quality, Milwaukee, (ANSI-ASQ) National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

Germantown Iron & Steel (GIS), Richfield, promoted Jeffrey Lucas to vice president of manufacturing. Lucas joined GIS in 1995 and has more than 35 years of experience in the industry.


WUWM 89.7 FM Milwaukee Public Radio promoted Amanda Shalhoub to assistant program director and hired Maria Dixon as a donor fulfillment specialist. Shalhoub has been with WUWM since 2003 and most recently served as a broadcast specialist. She also serves as co-host of Café Tonight. Dixon holds two bachelors degrees, in criminal justice and political science anda master’s degree in criminal justice from UW-Milwaukee.

Professional Organizations

Mark Krause, president of Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milwaukee, will serve as president-elect of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA), Sterling, Va. Krause has served on the ICCFA board of directors since 1999 and previously served as vice president of the education steering committee, membership committee and services steering committee.

Real Estate

Ogden, the Real Estate Company, Milwaukee, hired Jeff Falk, Cheryl Cook and Lena Hennessy as associates in the residential sales division.

Social Services

Richard Gutierrez joined La Causa, Milwaukee, as chief financial officer. Gutierrez has more than 14 years of experience and most recently served as controller for Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He previously served as treasurer of the board of directors for La Causa since 2004.


Angela Daron joined CCI, Milwaukee, as business development manager. Daron has more than 15 years of experience in project management, product development and customer service.

Red Anvil, Milwaukee, hired Cherrina Mack and David Willie as personal engineers in the information technology (IT) outsourcing division. Mack has more than 10 years of technology experience and most recently owned Great Gates Technology, Mequon.

MasterLink, Menomonee Falls, hired David March as director of sales and David Meunier as director of security risk management. Prior to joining MasterLink, March served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for PKWare, Milwaukee. Meunier most recently served as chief information security officer for CUNA Mutual Group, Madison.

Stratagem, Menomonee Falls, hired Karen Knusta as client services manager and Kati Remington, as resource manager. Prior to joining Stratagem, Knusta served as a senior account executive with IBS, Oak Brook, Ill. Remington previously served as a staff manager for Born Information Services, Dallas.

The Hartland office of Trissential, Minneapolis, hired Bruce Barchus as principal and strategic planning practice leader and Jim Mohs as principal and vice president of business development. Barchus has 20 years of experience and previously served as chief operating officer for Gateway Plastics, Mequon and partner with Sycamore Group (Wipfli). Mohs also has 20 years of experience and previously served as vice president of national operations and partner for BORN, now Fujitsu Consulting, Edison, N.J. and partner at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), El Segundo, Calif.

Training and Development

Bonita Berrios joined Public Allies, Milwaukee, as director of marketing and corporate partnerships. Berrios has more than 10 years of marketing and communications experience. Prior to joining Public Allies, Berrios held positions at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee; H&R Block, Kansas City, Mo. and Manpower, Glendale.
