Joanne Leifheit joined Congdon, Walden, Schuster & Vaklyes, Waukesha, as an associate. Leifheit will focus her practice on estate planning, elder law, probate, guardianship and real estate. She previously was in sole practice in Waukesha.

Lori Highby joined Wunderlich, Pearson, &Tetzlaff, Wauwatosa, as client services manager. Highby holds an associate’s degree in marketing management.

The Milwaukee office of M.A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, hired Sam Durand as a project engineer, Kim Kroenke and Betty Palmer as project administrative assistants and Peter Supple as an estimator. Durand holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Palmer previously held a similar position at Seek, Grafton. Supple has more than eight years of estimating experience.

Brian Dubis joined R.A. Smith & Associates, Brookfield, as a geographic information systems (GIS) project manager. Dubis has more than 12 years of experience as a GIS consultant.

Scott Godden, director and chief operating officer for Med-Health Financial Services, Milwaukee, joined the board of directors of the National Healthcare Collectors Association. Godden will become president of the national organization in 2008. He has more than 20 years of credit and receivables management experience and has been with Med-Health since 1998.

David Domres, vice president of asset and property management for Irgens Development Partners, Milwaukee, will serve as regional vice president of the Institute of Real Estate Management. Domres will oversee activities in the five IREM chapters in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. He earned a certified project manger designation from IREM in 1989 and has held several leadership positions with IREM’s Milwaukee Chapter No. 23, including chapter president.

Wauwatosa Savings Bank, Wauwatosa, promoted Teressa Rowley to director of lending operations and Marlene Smith to community development loan officer. Rowley joined the bank in 1992 and most recently served as manager of the mortgage servicing and mortgage post-closing departments. Smith joined Wauwatosa Savings in 1992 and most recently served as mortgage origination manager.

Ozaukee Bank, Cedarburg, promoted Ann Groth to general manager of the bank’s Thiensville office. Groth has been with Ozaukee bank for six years and most recently served as a relationship banking officer. She has 14 years of experience.
 
Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, promoted Mary Hilgendorf to director of the Women’s Leadership Institute. Hilgendorf joined Concordia University in 1992 and most recently served as associate professor of education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in education from Concordia University in Seward, Neb. She holds a doctoral degree in educational foundations from Marquette University.

Mary Jo Goodman joined Lakritz & Picus Furs, Milwaukee, as an assistant manager. Goodman has more than 20 years of experience in high end retail and most recently served as store manager for Zita, Whitefish Bay.

Connie Wick joined Vista360, Milwaukee, as a managing consultant. Wick previously served as a chief compliance officer for Heartland Advisors and the Heartland Family of Mutual Funds, Milwaukee. Wick holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Milwaukee. She holds a law degree from Marquette University.

Alan Eickberg joined Celtic, Brookfield, as creative director. Eickberg most recently founded 24/7 Design, Elm Grove.

Irgens Development Partners, Milwaukee, hired Geoffrey Hurtado as senior vice president and Aaron Marty as director of design and construction. Most recently, Hurtado owned and operated Hurtado Consulting, Milwaukee. He previously served in management roles with the Milwaukee Economic Development Corp., Milwaukee County Parks Department and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. Marty most recently served as senior associate for Hurtado Consulting.

Kassi Bridwell joined Blue Horse, Milwaukee as a media buyer. Bridwell previously served as a media buyer for Mullen Advertising, Winston-Salem, N.C. and SpotPlus, Dallas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Tulsa, Okla.

Covenant Healthcare System, Milwaukee, hired Marcus Julian as regional vice president of cardiovascular services and Ed Harasim as regional director of mission integration. Julian most recently served as chief operating officer and vice president of St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee, Minn. Harasim has more than 20 years of ministry experience.

Paula Giovannetti, founder and president of EC Workshops, Lake Geneva, joined the AIDC 100, a non-profit organization for professionals involved in automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) technology.

Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, hired nine doctors. Dr. Kamal Amin specializes in nephrology and practices at Milwaukee Nephrologists. Dr. Ashok Choiyhani specializes in internal medicine and practices at Community Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lynn Drab specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics and practices at the Germantown Clinic. Dr. Jeffrey Glinski and Dr. Ryan Skrupky specialize in emergency medicine and practice at Infinity HealthCare Physicians.

Dr. Abhay Jella specializes in hematology and oncology and practices at Medical Consultants. Dr. Judith Pretell specializes in anatomic and clinical pathology and practices at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Dirk Steinert specializes in internal medicine and practices at the Germantown Clinic. Dr. Carolyn Turcott specializes in psychiatry and practices at Turcott Med & Psych Assoc.

Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, hired Dr. Ahmed Khan as assistant professor of medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine; Dr. Timothy Fenske as assistant professor of medicine in neoplastic diseases and related disorders; Dr. Serena Hung as assistant professor of neurology; and Jennifer Koop as assistant professor of neurology in neuropsychology. Khan will also practice at Froedtert Hospital and the VA Medical Center-Milwaukee; Fenske and Hung will practice at Froedtert Hospital and Koop will practice at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital.

Gretchen Grunau Henry, W. Scott Gray, Sandra Millon Underwood and Katherine "Peggy" Patterson joined the Cancer Center advisory board for the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa. Henry is the estimation and computer manager for the Grunau Co., Oak Creek. Gray serves as senior vice president of investments at Robert W. Baird, Milwaukee. Underwood is a professor at the UW-Milwaukee college of nursing. Patterson is human resources director for Harley-Davidson, Milwaukee.

Community Bank & Trust, Sheboygan, hired Mary Ryan as an investment executive with Community Bank Investment Services and Jeff Erickson as assistant vice president of commercial lending at the Glendale location. Ryan has 17 years of investment, insurance and banking experience and most recently served as a financial consultant with U.S. Bancorp Investment, Minneapolis. Erickson has more than four years of financial experience and most recently served as a financial advisor with the Waukesha office of Merrill Lynch, N.Y.

Carla Cooper joined Baird Investment Management, a division of Robert W. Baird, Milwaukee, as senior research analyst covering business services, software and human capital services. Cooper previously served as an analyst with Baird Equity Research for 10 years and most recently served as senior sell-sode research analyst covering financial technology services.

Steve Lemkuil joined MasterLink, Menomonee Falls, as a senior account executive. Lemkuil has 18 years of information technology sales experience and most recently worked for Xerox, Stamford, Conn.
 
Stratagem, Menomonee Falls, hired Lungisa Msikinya as a mainframe consultant and Jeffrey Carley as a Web development consultant. Msikinya has served as a mainframe programmer for more than 18 years. Carley has served as a .NET developer for more than four years.

Leslie Lippe joined Scheibel Halaska, Milwaukee, as senior account manager. Lippe has more than 17 years of business to business marketing experience. She most recently served as the service marketing programs manager at Johnson Controls, Milwaukee.
Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, hired Janice Waisman in the Mequon office and Carrie Lemke in the Mukwonago office. Waisman has about 20 years of real estate experience.

Angela Wheeler joined The Horton Group, Milwaukee, as a claims management specialist. Prior to joining Horton, Wheeler served as a workers’ compensation claim adjuster for The St. Paul Travelers, St. Paul, Minn., and as a general liability claims specialist for Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club.

The Brookfield office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Madison, hired Timothy Van de Kamp as an associate attorney and Timothy Stewart as an attorney. Van de Kamp focuses his practice on business matters, real estate issues and litigation. Stewart focuses his practice on benefits and employment and labor relations law.

Sally Merrell, a partner with Quarles & Brady, Milwaukee, joined the board of the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee. Merrell focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and charitable gift planning. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Planned Giving Council of Eastern Wisconsin, Association of Women Lawyers, Professional Dimensions, National Committee on Planned Giving and is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Joseph Ciardo joined the Russ Darrow Automotive Group, Menomonee Falls, as general manager of the Russ Darrow Cadillac and GMC dealership in Waukesha. Ciardo has more 20 years of business experience and most recently worked for CU Fleet, Milwaukee. He previously worked for the Russ Darrow Automotive Group in 1999.

Kristine RappŽ and Glenn "Doc" Rivers joined the Marquette University board of trustees. RappŽ is senior vice president and chief administrative officer of We Energies, Milwaukee and has worked for the company since 1982. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and urban planning from UW-Oshkosh. Rivers is the head coach of the National Basketball Association’s Boston Celtics and is a retired professional basketball player. Rivers previously served as head coach of the Orlando Magic and as an analyst for ABC sports coverage of the NBA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Marquette University.

Paula Altamirano joined MGI Communications, Menomonee Falls, as an account executive. Altamirano has more than 25 years of marketing experience.

Versant, Milwaukee, hired Patrick Fox as art director and Lynne Colt as a marketing administrative assistant. Fox has 10 years of experience in graphic design, typography and printing. Colt has more than 30 years of administrative experience.

Patrick Fennelly joined the public relations team at Ellingsen Brady Advertising, Milwaukee. Fennelly most recently served as marketing and public relations manager for the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. He is a graduate of Marquette University.

Tom Flaherty joined National Survey & Engineering, Brookfield, as project manager in the land development services division. Flaherty has more than 15 years of experience in civil engineering and most recently served as civil and site project manager for Phillips, Milewski & Associates, Milwaukee.
