The Milwaukee office of M.A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, hired Jeff Gruhn as project manager and Alice Westphal as a mechanical engineer. Gruhn holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Westphal holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from MSOE.

Steven Clark joined Merchants and Manufacturers BanCorporation, Brookfield, as vice president and cash management officer. Clark has about 20 years of banking experience and most recently served as cash management manager of St. Francis/MidAmerica Bank, Williams Bay.

Beth Madunic joined the Jansen Group, Milwaukee, as an administrative associate. Madunic has 10 years of administrative experience, including six years in the construction industry.

Paul Conigliaro joined Image Makers Advertising, Waukesha, as video editor and production assistant. Conigliaro holds a bachelor’s degree in film and video from Columbia College in Chicago.

The Milwaukee office of BDO Seidman, Chicago, hired Martin Tomczyk as an audit manager and John Salza as a tax partner. Tomczyk previously served as a manager with the Milwaukee office of Deloitte & Touche, N.Y. Salza previously served as senior manager at the Milwaukee office of Deloitte & Touche.

Chris Halverson joined Godfrey, Leibsle, Blackbourn & Howarth, Elkhorn, as an attorney. Halverson has more than 14 years of experience practicing law. He will focus his practice on litigation in Wisconsin and federal trial and appellate courts.

Jim Sawaya joined HealthEOS by MultiPlan, Brookfield, as senior vice president. Sawaya most recently served as director of managed care with Midwest Security
Insurance Companies, Onalaska. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College.

Kristin Neils joined the Arthritis Foundation Wisconsin Chapter, West Allis, as public relations coordinator. Neils has three years of non- profit experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from UW-Milwaukee.

Angela Fullerton, vice president with the Brookfield office of MLG Management, Waukesha, will serve as president of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Milwaukee Chapter 13. Kristin Layeux of U.S. Bank Corporate Real Estate, Milwaukee, will serve as president-elect; Ray Balfanz of Steiner Group, Cudahy, will serve as vice president; Margaret Wendelburg of Polacheck Property Management, Milwaukee, will serve as secretary and treasurer and Marjean Pountain of Ogden & Co., Milwaukee, will serve as immediate past president.

The Milwaukee office of Irwin Union Bank and Trust, Columbus, Ind., hired William Kadrich as vice president of commercial lending and Jennifer Hulen as a business banking associate. Kadrich has more than 12 years of experience in commercial lending and most recently served as a vice president for the Milwaukee office of Ozaukee Bank, Cedarburg. Hulen has nine years of banking experience and most recently served as office manager for the Milwaukee Business Center of Ozaukee Bank, Cedarburg.

Todd Clemens joined the Brookfield office of Suby, Von Haden & Associates, Madison, as a manager. Clemens has more than 11 years of experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UW-Whitewater.

William Hotz joined Godfrey & Kahn, Milwaukee, as special counsel in the financial institutions practice group. Hotz has more than 35 years of legal experience and most recently served as corporate secretary, general counsel and as a member of the senior management team for St. Francis Capital, Brookfield.

Quarles & Brady, Milwaukee, hired Kelly Ann Baxter as manager in marketing and elected Kathryn Buono to the executive committee. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady, Baxter served as a client relations manager and business development associate with Gonzalez, Saggio & Harlan, Milwaukee. Buono serves as a partner with the firm and as chair of the corporate services group in addition to joining the executive committee. Buono focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments.

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), Milwaukee, promoted Don Kasprzak to executive director of institutional technology. Kasprzak most recently served as the Title III Instructional Technology Center director.

Community Bank & Trust, Sheboygan, hired Yvonne Brodsky and Wayne Campbell as investment executives with CB Investment Services. Brodsky most recently served as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, Minneapolis, and will focus on the Milwaukee area for CB Investment Services. Campbell has more than 28 years of financial experience and will focus on the Appleton and Chilton areas.

Jackie Zernia joined Noise, Milwaukee, as graphic designer and project coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design and a minor in business from UW-Milwaukee.

Todd Ovard joined Groth Design Group, Cedarburg and Madison, as project manager. Ovard has 14 years of professional experience and most recently worked for BurkettDesign, Denver.

Arthur Harrington, a shareholder and co-chair of the environmental and energy law practice group for Godfrey & Kahn, Milwaukee, joined the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Green Tier advisory committee as an economic development perspectives advisor. Harrington has more than 25 years of experience in environmental law and more than 10 years of experience in energy law. 

Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, a member of Covenant Healthcare, Milwaukee, hired Dr. Mark Bauer, orthopedic surgery; Dr. William Elliot, internal medicine and nephrology; Dr. Kristina Kleven, internal medicine and dermatology; Dr. Anna Kostelanetz, pediatrics; Dr. Max Lee, orthopedics and neurosurgery; Dr. Ahmed Malik, internal medicine and nephrology; Dr. John Maul, oncology and hematology; Shawn Sanicola, orthopedics and podiatry; Dr. Raj Santharam, internal medicine and gastroenterology; Robert Schoen, anesthesiology; Dr. Bradley Straka, internal medicine and dermatology and Dr. Erin Trampe, family practice.

Acuity, Sheboygan, promoted Ken Zemanek, Stephanie Schreiber, Amy Fritz and Erik Mikkelson to area underwriting managers in commercial lines at the firm’s corporate office; David Wulff to area underwriting manager in commercial lines in the Milwaukee office and Neil Argall, Paul Pace and Joel Wade to general managers of commercial lines in the corporate office.

Shelby Baker, sales manager with the Waukesha office of First Weber Group, Madison, will serve as past chairman; David Schmidt Jr., owner of Dave Schmidt Realty, Milwaukee, will serve as chairman-elect; Beth Jaworski, a sales agent with the Wauwatosa office of Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, will serve as corporate secretary and Barb McGill, vice president of training and personnel development for First Weber Group, Madison, will serve as treasurer.

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Brookfield, promoted Dorothy Ellis from administrative assistant to senior administrative assistant; Karen Neitzel from membership manager to assistant director of membership and Stacy Van Alstyne from associate director of public relations and advertising to director of public relations and advertising.

Patricia Lenius joined Zimmerman Design Group, Milwaukee, as vice president of business development and planning. Lenius holds a bachelor’s degree from Carroll College, Waukesha.

Sandra Torosian joined Layton State Bank, Milwaukee, as vice president of retail banking. Torosian has more than 14 years of experience in retail banking and sales and most recently served as a personal banking officer and investment representative for Chase Bank, Chicago.
