Zeppos & Associates Inc., Milwaukee, has promoted Laura Krinke to account executive. Krinke served as an assistant account executive prior to her promotion. Before joining Zeppos & Associates in 2010, Krinke worked as a freelance public relations consultant and held several communication internship positions in the Twin Cities.

Banking & Finance

Robin Kaufmann has been named branch manager of WaterStone Bank’s Waukesha/Brookfield branch. She has been employed by WaterStone since 2004 and held the position of relationship banker for the Pewaukee branch since 2005.

Guardian Credit Union, Milwaukee, has hired Scott Kleinke as a mortgage account executive. Kleinke has joined Guardian Credit Union at its Menomonee Falls branch. He has more than eight years of experience in the mortgage lending and financial industry, in addition to three years of business ownership experience.

Johnson Bank, Racine, has appointed Jon Donahue as vice president of wealth management for the Milwaukee region. Donahue has more than nine years of wealth experience. He most recently served as a preferred banker at M&I Bank, Milwaukee. Sally Smith was also named senior vice president and director of marketing for Johnson Bank and Johnson Financial Group. Ken Fellman has joined Johnson Financial Group as senior vice president and consumer banking manager.

Milwaukee-based LauberCFOs named Sean O’Byrne vice president of recruitment. He has more than 11 years of executive search experience. Prior to joining LauberCFOs, he served in senior roles with The O’Byrne Search Group, Human Capital Solutions, Peoplenext, The Novo Group, and The Lane Group.

Building & Construction

Mike Weber has joined A. Fillinger Inc., Milwaukee, as a sales representative and project manager. A. Fillinger is a fourth generation family business, ACE Hardware store, and custom cabinetry and millwork company. Weber has nearly 30 years experience in the home improvement and remodeling industry. He spent eight years as a cabinetmaker, and the next 12 years as a sales and project manager with various companies, including A. Fillinger. For the previous 10 years, he has been a finish carpenter and remodeler.

Education

James Kieselburg II has been named the director of the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Grohmann Museum following the retirement of John Kopmeier, founding director. He previously worked at the Milwaukee Public Museum and the museums of Beloit College, UW-Milwaukee and Marquette University. Kieselburg started at MSOE in 2006 as collections and exhibition manager of the Eckhart G. Grohmann Man at Work Collection. He was instrumental in the Grohmann Museum opening in 2007, and was promoted to assistant director in 2009.

Dr. Joseph Kerschner, has been appointed dean of the medical school and executive vice president of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa. Kerschner will oversee medical education, research, patient care, and community engagement. He will continue as professor of otolaryngology and communication sciences. He has served as interim dean of the medical school and executive vice president since January. Before assuming the position of interim dean, Kerschner served for five years as CEO of Children’s Specialty Group, a pediatric specialty group practice that is a joint venture of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon has named Linda Samuel the new dean of its School of Human Services. Samuel replaces Ruth Gresley who retired in August. Samuel began her career at Concordia in 1995 as a full-time faculty member of the Occupational Therapy Department. Before becoming the new dean she was a full professor and had been director of the OT Department since 2003.

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) recently added three new members to its board of regents and four new corporation members. G. Woodrow Adkins, chairman and chief executive officer of Adkins Holdings LLC of Waukesha, will be the first holder of the Uihlein/Spitzer Chair of Entrepreneurship in the MSOE Radar School of Business. Adkins also is chairman, shareholder, managing director or partner of several companies and investment funds. Other regents include: Thomas Burke, chief executive officer and president of Modine Manufacturing Co. in Racine, and Robert Vieau, president and owner of Vieau and Company in Montgomery, Texas. Vieau is an electrical engineering graduate of MSOE and former employee at Texas Instruments and senior vice president of corporate operations at Compaq Computer Corp. He also served as former president and CEO of Thomas-Conrad Corp. New corporation members include William Beckett, president and CEO of Chrysalis Packaging and Assembly Corp. (Chryspac), Milwaukee; Randal Howard, president of Forrer Business Interiors Inc., Milwaukee; Wendy Burke Slocum, president, Burke Properties, Milwaukee; and Richard Stangl, chairman and CEO, Weimer Bearing and Transmission, Menomonee Falls.

Insurance

PwC US today announced that Jeff Schlinsog has joined the firm’s life actuarial practice as principal. Schlinsog has more than 25 years of experience in financial reporting, risk management strategy and transactions for life insurers. He will focus on helping clients with changes in insurance contract accounting standards, process improvements, solvency regulation and provide transaction support for PwC’s most significant life insurance clients in the Midwest; as well as supporting the ongoing growth and development of PwC’s Midwest insurance practice.

Nonprofit

Journey House Inc., Milwaukee, has appointed Barbara Klein, community volunteer, to chairman of the organization’s board of directors. Klein has served on the organization’s board for more six years, most recently in the position of president. She succeeds Daniel Kolb as chairman. Kolb, who served as chairman from 2009-11, will continue his service to Journey House as a general member on the board of directors. The organization also appointed Chris Calvelli of Baird as president and Brian Nelson of I.C.M. Corp. as vice president. Carl Zaar of Marcus Corp. retains his position as Treasurer. All positions are for two-year terms.

The Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Foundation for St. Francis and Franklin has added Tom Gagliano, a member at the Skrypchak Group-Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Wauwatosa, to its board of directors. Gagliano is a Certified Financial Planner through the College for Financial Planning in Colorado and Chartered Financial Consultant through the American College in Pennsylvania. He has been a vice president at Morgan Stanley since 2004, and has been with the Skrypchak group for 14 years.

Professional Organizations

Richard Patek has been elected 2012 Construction Equipment Sector Board Chair of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Patek is the president of Telsmith and vice president of Astec Aggregate & Mining Group of Astec Industries Inc. in Mequon. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers is the North American-based international trade group for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide in the agricultural, construction, forestry, mining and utility sectors.

Professional Services

Cheri Burger, a trainer for Best Paw Forward in Hartland, recently received certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She is one of only 2,000 trainers worldwide and fewer than 70 trainers in Wisconsin to have attained certification.
