Milwaukee-based Gravity Marketing named Cori Coffman a vice president of the firm. Coffman previously served as executive director of the Eisner Museum of Advertising and Design. She has also held marketing positions at BVK, Meyer & Wallis and Scott Advertising.

Banking & Finance

LiquiTec Industries and AccuVal Associates of Milwaukee have added Marc Eli Swirsky to its respective senior leadership teams. Swirsky will serve as the president of LiquiTec and vice president of AccuVal. He has more than 22 years of experience in the industrial, auction, liquidation, appraisal and financial services industries and will lead all asset management and disposition strategies for the two companies.

Guardian Credit Union has named Suphansa Phetvisay as a mortgage account executive. Phetvisay will work at Guardian Credit Union’s South Milwaukee branch. Phetvisay is fluent in English, Laotian and Thai and has more than 9 years of experience in all aspects of the mortgage lending industry.

Building & Construction

J. P. Cullen & Sons Inc. announced the promotion of Katie Goeman to director of business development in the firm’s Brookfield office. Goeman will expand and maintain the client base, oversee client initiatives, and recommend and implement business development strategies.

Consulting

Ornage, Texas-based Turning Minds Media Inc., has partnered with Milwaukee-native and author Phil Gerbyshak. Gerbyshak is a blogger and social media thinker and will assist Turning Minds with extending the company’s reach while also strengthening the firm’s offerings through speaking engagements, writing skills and knowledge of business and technology. Gerbyshak will continue to work from Milwaukee.

Education

Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon has named Joan Scholz, controller since 2001, as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of the university. In addition to overseeing the finance department, she will continue to be responsible for the yearly audit and taxes. She will also add the increased responsibility in the areas of insurance/risk management, cost accounting, budgeting and grant accounting.

Health Care

Extendicare Health Services Inc., Milwaukee, has added Emily Pfeiffer to its Tax and Treasury department as a tax analyst. Amber Snow has been added to the Reimbursement Services department as senior financial analyst II. Virtual Care Provider Inc., a subsidiary of Extendicare Health Services Inc., has added Gabriel John as operations analyst, Elizabeth Beasley as project manager; and Michael Keller as .NET application developer II.

Joe Cox has been hired by Milwaukee-based Dohmen as vice president of outsourced information services, and Dustin Conrad has been hired by Restat, a division of Dohmen, as vice president, segment leader.

Insurance

Sheboygan-based Acuity promoted Monte Spicer, Linda Ortlieb, Michael Duescher, Lucas Mertens, Jennifer Weber, and Tina Kahl to senior commercial underwriters in the firm.

Legal Services

The American Health Lawyers Association has reappointed Godfrey & Kahn S.C. attorney Thomas Shorter as chair of its Labor and Employment Practice Group. The AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field and has more than 10,000 members.

Manufacturing

Racine-based InSinkErator has named Tim Ferry as its new president. Ferry succeeds Jerry Ryder, who will move into a new role as chairman of InSinkErator before retiring at the end of the year. Ferry comes to InSinkErator after more than 22 years in sales, marketing and management capacities at St. Louis-based Emerson, InSinkErator’s parent company. He was most recently president of Emerson Tool Company, which manufactures wet/dry vacuums under the RIDGID brand, commercial vacuums under the ProTeam label, as well as ceiling fans.

Nonprofit

The United Way of Greater Milwaukee named Jennifer DeLaura manager of major accounts and leadership. She previously served as senior campaign associate, major campaigns and health care for the organization. Laurel Hoehne has also been promoted to vice president of information technology and processing and Lula Miller-Mays joins United Way as senior campaign associate major campaigns and health care. Austin Washington has also been named senior campaign associate professional division and leadership.

Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee has added Darien Winston to its board of directors. Winston is program coordinator at the Milwaukee L.G.B.T. Community Center, managing HIV/STI education programs for youth. Before becoming program coordinator, Winston was a peer youth advisor for three years at the L.G.B.T. Community Center where he led monthly educational pieces and counseled youth.

Real Estate

Brookfield-based Coldwell Banker Residential brokerage has added Andrea Alexander and Roberta Stepp as agents in its metro west office in Brookfield; Neil Smerlinski and Andrea Azzolina have been added as agents in its north shore office in Glendale and agent Paul Monigal recently joined the downtown Milwaukee office.
