Brookfield-based Kolb+Co. S.C. recently added Shannon Guhl as a staff accountant, Meghan Froelich as a tax specialist and Jennifer Wanta has returned to the firm as a tax supervisor.

RitzHolman CPAs, Milwaukee, recently added Maris Edgar and ShaBeache Hale as staff accountants to its tax, nonprofit and outsourcing teams. Theresa Unger also joined the firm’s tax team as a tax accountant.

Ronald Krizek, affiliated with The Holter Financial Group based in Elm Grove, has earned the 2011 Central Region Top 10 Leader Award; Steve Holter, affiliated with The Holter Financial Group based in Milwaukee, has earned the 2011 Central Region Managing Partner Leader Award and Scott Schwertfeger, affiliated with The Holter Financial Group based in Glendale, has earned the 2011 Central Region Managing Director Leader Award.

Milwaukee-based Marshall & Isley Corp. recently promoted Barbara Feiertag to vice president and made some changes to its divisional executive teams. M&I Bank promoted Michael Burke to senior vice president and Chistopher Engel, Neil Riegelman and Matt Sell to vice president. M&I Trust Company promoted Steve Cremer to senior vice president, and M&I Financial Advisors promoted Todd Sprecher and Margaret Edmunds to vice president.

Edward Bryant has been appointed assistant vice president of North Milwaukee State Bank, Milwaukee. Bryant joins NMSBank with nearly nine years of experience in banking and 13 years of professional experience in business banking, mortgage lending, retail banking and loan operations.

J.H. Findorff & Son Inc., Milwaukee, recently promoted Nadine Ferreira to project manager. Ferreira joined Findorff in 2004.

Tom Palzewicz and Jim Palzewicz of ActionCOACH of Elm Grove have received recognition as ranking in the Top 100 Coaches in the World for the month of December, 2010. The recognition was announced by Craig Hohnberger, master licensee for Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. Tom Palzewicz was recognized as ranking 12 in the United States and 68 globally. Jim Palzewicz was recognized as ranking 13 in the United States and 83 globally.

Education

Alverno College, Milwaukee, elected Allen Leverett, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Wisconsin Energy Corp., to its board of trustees. Prior to working for Wisconsin Energy Corp., Leverett served as the chief financial officer and executive vice president of Georgia Power Co. in Atlanta.

Rev. James Flaherty, has been selected as the next president of Nativity Jesuit Middle School in Milwaukee. Flaherty will succeed Greg Meuler, who is retiring at the end of the school year after serving as president for six years.

Health Care

Ceil Duclon has been named director of laboratory services for Wauwatosa-based Froedtert Health. She joins Froedtert Health with 32 years of experience. She has served in many roles, most recently as laboratory director at Community Memorial Hospital.

Jim Simaras has been named the vice president of accounting and financial reporting for Glendale-based Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. He previously held the position of controller for The Blood Center of Wisconsin. In addition, Elizabeth Cliffe Kucharski has been named director of health care reform implementation for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. She has been with the organization since 2005.

Hospitality & Entertainment

Ryan Braun’s Waterfront restaurant has named Chef Dominic Zumpano as its executive chef. Zumpano was formerly executive chef at Umami Moto. He has 16 years of culinary experience.

Tazinos Pizza & Salad Bistro has added Michael Lafferty as its vice president of business development. Lafferty is the former chief operating officer for The Milwaukee Wave. Tazino’s has three locations in the metro Milwaukee area.

Insurance

Sheboygan-based Acuity recently promoted Brian Dzarnowski to senior systems engineer. Heather Ourada, Steve Sorenson and Tim Kornetzke were also promoted to senior programmer analysts. Jody Hobbs has been promoted to senior field claims representative in central Wisconsin, and Scott Schomaker was recently named senior field claims representative for the firm’s Green Bay and east-central Wisconsin markets.

Legal Services

The law firm of Dewitt Ross & Stevens has added Michelle Friedman to the firm as its director of marketing and business development. Friedman specializes in communications, marketing, business development, public relations and strategic planning and will be based in the firm’s Milwaukee office.

Buelow Vetter Buikema Olson & Vliet LLC, Waukesha, recently announced that Gary Ruesch and Renae Waterman Aldana have joined the firm’s school law practice. Ruesch has more than 30 years of experience counseling school districts around the country on general school and employment law issues. Aldana has more than 11 years of experience advising school districts regarding special education, student discipline and general school law matters.

Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, Milwaukee, has transitioned to a five-person executive committee that includes: Emery Harlan, Kerrie Murphy, Timothy Wright III, Karma Rodgers and Edward (Ned) Witte. The firm also announced that Emery Harlan has been named managing partner.

Manufacturing

Wauwatosa-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. has elected Edward Wajda, vice president and general manager international, as a corporate officer. Wajda joined Briggs and Stratton in 2008. He has more than 15 years of global manufacturing experience, including global divisional start-ups, new market development and extensive business growth management.

Wauwatosa-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. added Patricia Kampling, the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Madison-based Alliant Energy Corp., to the Briggs & Stratton board of directors. Kampling succeeds David Burner, who retired as a board member.

Nonprofit

Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin recently added Pete Papageorge of Century Services, Jeffery Blakely of CVS Pharmacy and Robert Ranus, retired from Roundy’s Inc., to its volunteer board of directors.

MargaretAnn’s Place, Wisconsin’s Center of Hope for Grieving Children, hired Carrie Lemke as director of development. Lemke will organize and lead fund development efforts to support children and their families in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha, including Camp Erin (Aug. 26-28) in Lake Geneva, which is funded in part by the Moyer Foundation.

March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter recently added Cinthia Christensen, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin; Jacob Lenell of Clifton Gunderson; Lisa Jentsch of Children’s Hospital and Health System and Taylor Trovillion, a student at Marquette University and a March of Dimes National Youth Council member; to the organization’s board of directors.

The Milwaukee-based USO of Wisconsin Inc., an organization dedicated to providing aid, assistance and comfort to active duty military personnel and their families, has announced their board of directors for 2011. The board of directors includes Donald Grundy, WIANG, Sergeant First Class, president; Joe Campagna Jr., David Drent, David Karlson and Denise Dietsche. Directors at large include: Doug Heiderich, Col., Ken Lee, Col., John Schroeder, John Lewandowski, Tom Balistreri and Jay Smith. Candyce Hanus serves as the USO of Wisconsin executive director.

Professional organizations

Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee appointed Hector Colon as its new executive director. Colon has a background in nonprofit administration and previously served as the executive assistant to the Department of Regulation and Licensing for the State of Wisconsin and as the executive director for the United Community Center.

Caren Goldberg has been named executive director of the Jewish Community Foundation. Bert Bilsky, former executive director will continue in a full-time senior fundraising role. Bilsky was hired in 1980 as the Jewish Community Foundation’s first full-time employee.

Professional Dimensions recently named Jill Morin, executive officer with Milwaukee-based Kahler Slater, and Nancy Sennett, managing partner of Milwaukee-based Foley & Lardner LLP, as the 2011 Sacagawea Awards recipients.

Professional Services

Waukesha-based Mayfair Leasing named Aaron Vande Slunt as an account executive. Vande Slunt has 10 years of business to business sales experience.

Real Estate

Carriane Meyer has joined Wauwatosa-based Irgens Development Partners LLC as accountant.

Brookfield-based Shorewest Realtors has added Rose Vidmar as an agent in its Menomonee Falls office and also recently welcomed back Rick Reith to the Wauwatosa Office.
