McGladrey LLP has promoted Matthew Werner to assurance senior associate in its Milwaukee office. Werner has been with the firm since 2011 and is a certified public accountant.

McGladrey LLP has promoted Howard Siegal to assurance director in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Siegal, who is a certified public accountant, has worked for McGladrey LLP since 2004, specializing in audit and accounting services for clients in industries like manufacturing, wholesale and distribution. Siegal has also served as national audit and accounting facilitator for the firm’s continuing professional education programming.

Trefoil Group, located in Milwaukee, has hired Bernadine Trimberger as an account coordinator. In this position, Trimberger will focus on planning, developing and executing initiatives for clients in manufacturing and professional services.

Banking & Finance

Michael Cottrell recently joined PyraMax Bank in Greenfield as a vice president commercial loan officer. Cottrell has more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate lending and small business loans with expertise in SBA.

Associated Bank has added Lisa Campbell as solutions architect in the Operations and Technology – Retail Banking Division. Campbell has more than 15 years of experience in information technology and most recently worked as a business solutions architect for Kohl’s Corp. At Associated Bank, she will facilitate technology best practices to support the bank in its strategic and corporate goals.

Ridgestone Bank has hired Sandy Winkler and Sibrina Gregory as loan servicing specialists in its Loan Operations Group in Brookfield.

Monica Stern has been named director of the First Bank Financial Centre Board of Directors. Stern is a certified public accountant and previously spent 12 years working for Ernst and Young, LLP in Milwaukee. She most recently served as senior manager. First Bank Financial Centre is headquartered in Oconomowoc.

Consulting

AILCO Equipment Finance Group, located in Waukesha, has hired Scott Ryan as regional manager for Wisconsin. Ryan has more than 20 years of experience in the equipment finance industry. In his new position he will lead business development.

Design

Milwaukee-based Interior Systems, Inc. recently promoted Nikki Jeffries to Interior Designer II/Brand Account Lead.

Distribution

Gustave A. Larson Company, based in Milwaukee, has hired Richard Stimac as general manager to lead the mountain region.

Education

The Alverno College School of Business has added two new faculty members, Nicole Maassen and Richard Tobin. Maassen previously worked as vice president of litigation and risk management at Assurant Health and oversaw a team of lawyers, paralegals and support staff. Tobin is a certified public accountant and has more than 15 years of business experience. He most recently was assistant vice president at Fiserv Inc., where he managed a team of staff members in accounting and financial reporting. Maassen and Tobin will both teach undergraduate courses and will co-teach a course in Alverno’s MBA program. Alverno College is located in Milwaukee.

Engineering

Brookfield-based Applied Technologies Inc. has welcomed back Brent Gibson as a senior structural engineer. Gibson previously worked for the company for four years before moving to Florida. Applied Technologies also recently hired Andrew Kolden as an engineer in its Structural Department. Kolden graduated from UW-Platteville with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, structural and construction, and also completed an internship with the City of Beloit.

Brookfield-based R.A. Smith National Inc. has added Dr. Joseph Diekfuss as a structural engineer. Diekfuss served as a research assistant at Marquette University for four years and also spent part of his education career as a co-op and a project engineer for R.A. Smith National.

Fitness Centers

Tom Feest was recently promoted to director of Exhale Yoga Studios for Elite Sports Clubs’ five Milwaukee-area locations. Feest has taught yoga classes at Elite Sports Clubs for five years and has helped the clubs expand their yoga offerings. In his new role, he will oversee the clubs’ mind/body programs and will act as a business and educational resource for the clubs’ 45 yoga instructors.

Health Care

Interra Health, headquartered in Brookfield, has added Kim Kozlik as human resources coordinator. Kozlik has 13 years of human resources experience in manufacturing and service industries. In her new position, she will help recruit new staff members to the company and will be responsible for employee development, training and communications.

Chiropractic Company in Brookfield has added to its medical staff with the hiring of practitioners Jamie Carlson and Nicholas Cera.

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, has appointed Dr. William Hueston senior associate dean for academic affairs and professor of family and community medicine. In his new leadership position, Hueston will focus on recruitment, admissions, and education and graduation of medical students. His leadership efforts will also extend to the college’s continuing medical education programs, and he will play a role in integrating the college’s new community-based medical education programs in Green Bay and central Wisconsin.

Aspen Orthopedics recently added Dr. Jonathon Printz, a board certified orthopedic surgeon. Printz is particularly interested in hand and upper extremity surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement and work-related injuries. He consults patients of all ages. Aspen Orthopedics has locations in Brookfield, New Berlin and Pewaukee.

Hospitality & Entertainment

JB’s On 41, located in Milwaukee, has hired Bill Klopp as bowling operations manager. Klopp has almost 20 years of experience managing entertainment venues. He most recently served as general manager of the Root River Center in Franklin and has also worked in manager positions in the BMO Harris Bradley Center’s food services division. At JB’s On 41, he will work to enhance the customer experience and develop new programs.

The Marcus Corp., based in Milwaukee, has appointed Scott Fischer to director of tax. Fischer, who is a certified public accountant, has 17 years of experience in federal and state income taxes, complex structuring and tax planning strategies, and public company requirements. He most recently spent seven years as director of tax for Stark Investments.

Insurance

Willis of Wisconsin has added Kevin Loppnow as senior vice president and property and casualty practice leader to its Milwaukee office.

New Berlin-based HNI has hired Barb Rand as compliance consultant, Kristin Metzger as service team support specialist, Debby Fluder as service team support specialist, Karen Kuxhaus as account manager, and Amy Kling as account administrator.

Brookfield-based Diversified Insurance Solutions has added Alex Merbach as a benefit plan analyst. Merbach recently earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wisconsin Lutheran College. The company has also promoted Claudia Gavin to lead client services representative of employee benefits. Gavin has worked for Diversified Insurance Solutions for more than a year and previously served as a client services representative. She has 24 years of experience in financial services and insurance.

Legal Services

Jacqueline Messler has joined Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP as an associate in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Messler has expertise in business law, estate planning and tax law. She previously clerked for Justice Ziegler at The Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Manufacturing

Germantown-based Hampel has hired Ryan Calton as controller. Calton is a certified public accountant and has 12 years of experience in financial accounting and analysis. He previously worked as a senior manager of assurance at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP. In his new position, Calton will take leadership of Hampel’s accounting team.

Pewaukee-based TLX Technologies has added Benjamin Shimon as a design engineer. Shimon completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and has experience in product design, fatigue and fracture analysis and engineering change management.

Nonprofit

Lisa Boyd has been named vice president of programs for the Center for Self-Sufficiency in Milwaukee. Boyd previously worked as administrator of the Division of Employment and Training for the Department of Workforce Development in Madison. Her career also includes more than 15 years serving the YWCA of Greater Milwaukee. In her new position, Boyd will focus on coordination, implementation and oversight of Center for Self-Sufficiency programs, such as staff development, program outreach, site recruitment, contract and funder compliance, revenue development, and community and partnership building.

Real Estate

Shorewest Realtors has added Ed Pestka as a sales associate in its Racine office. Pestka has more than seven years of residential real estate sales experience. He has his accredited buyer representative designation and also has experience working with REO and foreclosure properties.

Senior Living Communities

Milly Desnoyers has been named director of hospice at Luther Manor in Wauwatosa. Desnoyers has 30 years of experience in hospice and has worked for Luther Manor as a hospice nurse and as an interim hospice director.

Staffing

Waukesha-based Core Business Solutions LLC has promoted Lindsey Kriete to vice president and principal. Kriete has been with the company since 2011 and has more than a decade of experience in human resources and executive search. In her new leadership role, she will focus on strategic planning for business growth, relationship management and executive search. Core Business Solutions also recently hired Rebekah Turner as research assistant. Turner has more than a decade of experience in board of director recruitment. She will contribute to Core Business Solutions’ professional recruiting services.
