Paltzer has more than six years of PR experience and will focus on strategic planning, day-to-day account management, and tactical execution and evaluation. Knutson will support the agency’s PR accounts.

Boelter + Lincoln Marketing Communications, of Milwaukee, hired Caitlin Guinan as an interactive designer on its creative team. Prior to joining Boelter + Lincoln, Guinan was a junior digital production artist for Charleston|Orwig.

In Tandem Theatre, of Milwaukee, elected L. Christopher Miller, Ph.D., to its board of directors. Miller is vice president for student affairs at Marquette University and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences and on the board of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee. Additionally, he is part of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, American College Personnel Association, and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Banking & Finance

BMO Private Bank in Milwaukee has named Jeffrey Green director of trust and estate services. Green has more than seven years of experience in financial services and is a certified financial planner practitioner. He also holds a law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a member of the Illinois and Wisconsin State Bar Associations and the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum. In his new position, he will provide customized trust and estate administration to high net worth clients.

Distribution

Brookfield-based Wolter Power Systems has named Jason Riehl sales manager for the standby generators and OEM engineer sales. Riehl has experience in aerospace sales management and international business travel.

Health Care

Columbia St. Mary’s, of Milwaukee, recently added Dr. Erik Stilp to its Cardiovascular Specialists Vascular Care staff. Stilp is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and non-invasive vascular imaging. Columbia St. Mary’s also recently hired Dr. Adam Blackwell at Shorewood Family Physicians. Blackwell is board certified in family medicine and works with patients of all ages. Additionally, Columbia St. Mary’s has added Dr. Katie Hausmann to the Gateway Medical clinic in West Allis. Hausmann is board certified in internal medicine and has a clinical interest in care for the elderly.

Hospitality & Entertainment

The Best Western Plus-Milwaukee Airport has named Tara Wurtz director of sales and marketing for the Howell Avenue location. Wurtz previously served in various senior management roles at Marriott, Hilton and Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts. In her new leadership position, she will manage the hotel’s fiscal accountability and profitability, handle marketing efforts for the hotel and its bar and grill, and work to expand existing client relationships.

Insurance

Hays Companies of Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, has hired Fran Halas as a representative. Halas, who has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, will handle property/casualty segments of the company.

Legal Services

Andrus Intellectual Property Law LLP, headquartered in Milwaukee, recently hired Kevin Spexarth as an associate. Spexarth has experience in patent and trademark prosecution, IP management and planning, and corporate IP development. His practice centers on domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution and enforcement. In this capacity, he researches patentability and infringement issues as well as offers counseling and written opinions to clients.

Manufacturing

St. Francis-based Wixon has added Terry Yakes as Midwest regional sales representative and Andrea Molenda as customer service representative. Yakes, who will work from St. Charles, Ill., will focus on managing existing accounts and growing business for the company’s Industrial Ingredients division. Molenda, who has about 30 years of customer service experience, will manage orders and handle customer satisfaction through collaboration with operations, accounting and sales.

Johnson Outdoors Inc., headquartered in Racine, has appointed Julie Andersen global marketing director for its dive gear and equipment business. Andersen previously worked in the nonprofit sector and founded Shark Angels, an organization dedicated to protecting shark habitats. She also has professional experience in strategic and digital marketing. At Johnson Outdoors, Andersen will guide the design, harmonization and implementation of multi-channel, multi-media marketing strategies for company brands across the globe.

LIFE Corp., located in Milwaukee, recently promoted Amy Schermetzler to business director. Schermetzler has worked for LIFE for seven years. In her new role, she will be responsible for payroll and payroll taxes, tax preparation, and accounts receivable and payable. She is also the compliance officer for FDA regulations.

Media

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. has named Jordan Goldstein local sales manager for WCGV-TV and WVTV-TV in Milwaukee. Goldstein previously served as the local sales manager at WLUM in Milwaukee.

Nonprofit

Brian Leibl has joined the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest as senior vice president, finance. Leibl is a certified public accountant and brings 25 years of experience in finance to his new position. He most recently served as the chief financial officer for the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center of Milwaukee. At the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest, he will be responsible for accounting, finance, compliance and human resources tasks. He will also be part of the organization’s senior management team, which guides its entire staff in a 10-state region, and will be based in Brookfield.

Real Estate

CBRE Group Inc. has added Cole Taylor to its Milwaukee office as an appraisal trainee in the Valuation and Advisory Services group. Taylor previously served as a property manager for Weidner Apartment Homes, which is based in Seattle. In his new role, he will work on valuation and consulting assignments and will primarily be responsible for hotel and retail properties, eventually expanding into multi-family projects.

Milwaukee-based 7Summits has added Steve Hanks as a salesforce technical architect and Jacob Page as a project manager.

Staffing

Brookfield-based Talent Network Group has added Marissa Rocha as a recruitment consultant. Rocha has experience in financial services. In her new role she will focus on financial services, marketing, sales and bilingual recruitment.

Technology

Milwaukee-based Telcom & Data Inc. has appointed Jim McClure communications director. McClure’s career has included work in marketing and communications in Edelman Public Relations Worldwide’s corporate technology division in Chicago. He also previously worked as a print and broadcast journalist for Wisconsin and Illinois publications and radio and television outlets, such as CNN and The Pentagon Channel. In his new role, he will handle media relations for Telcom & Data and its client technology partners.
