PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has expanded its Milwaukee office with executive assistant Kathleen Potter, assurance associate Ryan Ladwig, advisory manager Praveen Nimmala and advisory senior associate Saikat Sinha Biswas.

Advertising & Public Relations

Mortenson Safar Kim Inc. has named Mary Parodo executive vice president of client services. Parodo will be based in the agency’s Milwaukee office, where she will oversee its account service team, focus on strategy for existing clients, manage accounts and work on new business growth. She will also act as chief liaison with the agency’s digital joint venture partner, Ascedia, and serve on Mortenson’s executive committee. Parodo previously was president of NOISE, a full-service marketing and advertising firm.

LePoidevin Marketing, based in Brookfield, has promoted Gregg Kerttula to creative director. Kerttula has more than 25 years of experience in design, development of branding campaigns, and creative consultation with business-to-business and consumer clients. He has been with LePoidevin since 2009, when he joined its staff as senior art director.

Banking & Finance

Bank Mutual Corp.’s board of directors has elected Lisa Mauer to a three-year term. Mauer is senior vice president of regional development at BlackHawk Industrial Distribution Inc. Her term will conclude in 2017. Bank Mutual, which is headquartered in Brown Deer, has also re-elected directors David Boerke, Robert Olson and David Baumgarten to additional three-year terms.

The Bode Financial Group, of Racine, has named Brian Blaney financial services manager. Prior to joining Bode, Blaney worked as a CPA and supervisor at Schenck SC for more than seven years. Having just passed his Series 7 exam, Blaney carries an in depth level of experience in accounting and finance. In his new role, he will supervise staff, help streamline decision making, develop procedures and assist clients with financial planning.

Westbury Bank, of West Bend, has welcomed Michael Passaglia as vice president, program manager, in the bank’s Wealth Management division. Passaglia brings more than 25 years of experience in financial advising to his new position. At Westbury Bank, he will run sales and production of the division, facilitate compliance for the division, and offer financial advice and planning to wealth management clients. In working to grow the division, Passaglia will concentrate on the bank’s primary markets in Washington and Waukesha counties.

Wells Fargo Commercial Banking has added Tony Bartell as senior vice president and group head to serve middle market companies with annual revenues of $20 million or more in southeastern Wisconsin. Bartell has 27 years of commercial banking experience in Milwaukee. For the past 17 years, he was a senior relationship manager and business development banker for JPMorgan Chase, with a focus on middle market clients in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is experienced in multibank financing, mergers and acquisitions, asset-based lending and leasing.

Potawatomi Business Development Corp., of Milwaukee, has appointed Tom Devine chief executive officer. Devine previously served as president of federal business for MTNT, an Alaska Native Corporation in Anchorage, Alaska. He is well versed in executive management, federal contracting, business development, business brokerage and corporate sales. The PBDC is the economic development branch of the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe.

Building & Construction

Miron Construction Co. Inc. has added project manager Dan Pearson to its Milwaukee office. Pearson has 17 years of experience in the construction industry. Most recently, he was a partner for Tenesis Total Energy Solutions. In his new leadership role, he will manage all aspects of construction projects with attention to preliminary estimates, budgets, financial control, scheduling, coordination of construction activity, project close-out and owner occupancy.

Consulting

Milwaukee-based DCI-Artform has expanded its staff with mechanical engineer Steve Zwicke, mechanical engineer Steve Striepling, Ivan Wong in supply chain, estimator Bob Gaffney, and Stephen Lok in supply chain.

Design

Milwaukee-based Kahler Slater has appointed Thomas Miller an associate principal to guide the firm’s housing and hospitality practice. Miller has focused much of his career on projects in hospitality and multi-family housing markets. His projects have included both new construction and historic renovation. He is also skilled in managing architectural teams and privately financed development projects. Miller, a native of Wisconsin, most recently worked as an associate principal for Bahr Vermeer Haecker Architects in Omaha, Neb.

Education 

Dr. Blake Wentz has been appointed chair of the Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Wentz has been a faculty member at MSOE since 2005 and has been the university’s construction management program director since 2008. He is also the faculty advisor for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America Student Chapter. His role as chair will take effect this fall.

Wisconsin Lutheran College, located in Milwaukee, has named Naomi Murawski director of enrollment in its College of Adult and Graduate Studies.

Events Services

Exhibit Systems, headquartered in Brookfield, has welcomed John Schlosser as sales manager. Schlosser has experience in sales management, staff training, and brand promotion and development in a range of industries. Most recently, he worked in direct selling and sales staff training for American Marketing & Publishing. At Exhibit Systems, he will focus on sales outreach.

Health Care

Advanced Pain Management has hired Nancy Lassa as a nurse practitioner to work in its Milwaukee-area clinics, including Greenfield and Racine. Lassa began working for Advanced Pain Management’s implant team in 2004 and pursued additional schooling as a result of her experience. She earned a master’s in nursing from Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon and also is nationally certified as a family nurse practitioner.

ProHealth Care has welcomed psychotherapist Christopher Borden to consult patients at Waukesha clinics. Borden covers all mental health conditions and has a special interest in treating patients with alcohol and other drug abuse, dependency, depression, anxiety, anger, oppositional defiant behaviors, mood disorders and adjustment disorders. He also offers parent education and family counseling. Borden is a licensed professional counselor, a clinical substance abuse counselor and a national certified counselor.

Hospitality & Entertainment

Potawatomi Bingo Casino, located in Milwaukee, has added Paul Cornish as slots director. Cornish has more than 25 years of experience in slot operations at casinos throughout the country. Most recently, he was director of gaming operations at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Fresno, Calif. At Potawatomi, he will manage more than 150 employees and will oversee the placement, layout and maintenance of the casino’s slot machines.

VISIT Milwaukee has added Katy Deardorff as communications manager. Deardorff previously served in account executive positions at BVK and Nelson Schmidt. At VISIT Milwaukee, she will contribute to the organization’s public relations initiatives and will focus on media outreach, social media strategy, copywriting and organizing familiarization trips for visiting travel writers.

Interior Design

Creative Business Interiors, headquartered in Milwaukee, has added Mary McKillip as an interior designer.

Legal Services

Foley & Lardner LLP has added Brian Lucareli to its Milwaukee office as director of fiduciary management. Lucareli has spent his entire career in the financial services industry and previously served as senior vice president and director with Johnson Bank Wealth. In his new role, he will guide growth of the firm’s wealth and trust business, which is a component of Foley PrivateOffice, focusing on opportunities in the region.

Nonprofit

Safe Babies Healthy Families, of Waukesha, has expanded its team with three new staff members. The nonprofit organization has hired Kelsey DeMarais as marketing coordinator, Charlene Horner as grant writer/communications coordinator, and Margaret Sullivan as volunteer coordinator, which is a newly created position.

The Zoological Society of Milwaukee has hired Penny Gutekunst as vice president of development. Gutekunst has 18 years of experience working in nonprofit development and most recently was chief development officer at the United Performing Arts Fund. In her new position, she will oversee the ZSM’s corporate, individual and planned giving fundraising programs. She will also handle grants and work to identify gift prospects.

Packaging

Badger Paperboard, Inc., based in Fredonia, recently promoted Chad Kravick to vice president. Kravick previously was vice president of sales at the company, at which he was responsible for expanding the national distributor network across North America.

Real Estate

Tracy Korpela has joined Schlitz Park as assistant property manager. Korpela recently returned to southeastern Wisconsin from northern California. Her career in Milwaukee includes a position as assistant property manager of The Shops of Grand Avenue from 2010 to 2013. She is well versed in property management, leasing, real estate, marketing and community outreach.

Social Media

Milwaukee-based 7Summits has hired Rick Daggett as account director. In this position, Daggett will work with clients to create goals, understand their needs and objectives, and roll out a plan according to their expectations.

Sports Management

The Milwaukee Admirals recently hired Kory Schooley as director of season ticket sales. Prior to joining the Admirals, Schooley spent eight seasons working for the Milwaukee Wave, most recently as vice president of sales. The team has also promoted John Bitter to vice president of ticket sales and Brian Martens to director of ticket operations. Bitter has worked for the team since 2003, and Martens has been a staff member since 2004.

Staffing

SEEK Careers/Staffing has named Marcus Norville district team leader for its Milwaukee North, Milwaukee South and Waukesha branches. In this role, Norville will be responsible for sales, recruiting strategies and customer service.

Technology

Group Basis, of Milwaukee, has added John Doran as an account executive of sales for the Northeast Region.

Utility Services

American Transmission Co., based in Waukesha, recently promoted Lori Lorenz to vice president of human capital. Lorenz has been part of American Transmission Co. since 2013, when she was hired as director of human resources. In her elevated position, she will oversee human resources, safety and facilities.
