Child Care Services

Ebenezer Child Care Centers recently named Yvette Stamper center coordinator for their Wauwatosa Center. Stamper was previously employed with the John C. Cudahy YMCA as the early childhood program coordinator.

Education

Thomas Bray, dean of applied research at Milwaukee School of Engineering, was recently named to the first-ever national Education Council focused on expanding and enhancing the manufacturing workforce. 

Tom VanHimbergen was recently named executive vice president for administration/chief financial officer at Cardinal Stritch University. VanHimbergen is a retired chief financial officer and certified public accountant who has more than 35 years of strategic and financial planning experience with both corporations and nonprofit boards. 

Engineering

Mared Mechanical Contractor Corp., Milwaukee, recently announced the addition of four new members to its team. They include: Kenneth Bade, controller; John Engler, industrial sheet metal and piping manager; Josh Pasher, fire protection division manager; and Mark Temple, plumbing division manager. 

Health Care

Andrew Chan, was recently appointed professor of pediatrics in the division of hematology and oncology with a secondary appointment as professor of biochemistry at The Medical College of Wisconsin. He is also a member of the Medical College Cancer Center, and Children’s Research Institute. Cancer surgeon Dr. Douglas Evans has also been appointed Donald C. Ausman Family Foundation Professor of Surgery and chairman of the department of surgery at The Medical College of Wisconsin, effective Jan. 15, 2009.

Julie Idzikowski was recently named the annual giving director for the Froedtert Hospital Foundation. She previously worked as annual giving director for both St. Norbert’s College and UW- Green Bay.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin recently appointed Dr. Michael Meyer, program director of transport. He previously served as assistant professor of Pediatrics at the  University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.

Insurance

Integrated Risk Solutions, Pewaukee, recently named Carrie Wergin as account executive. Wergin has 22 years of experience.

Mike Kieckhafer has been promoted to commercial lines general manager for Acuity, Sheboygan.

Legal Service

Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, recently announced that Kathryn Kronquist has joined the firm as of counsel with the     firm’s Corporate Services group, and Elizabeth Blutstein has joined the firm as     a partner on the Public Finance team.

Godfrey & Kahn S.C., Milwaukee, recently announced that Timothy Nixon, a shareholder of the firm, has been elected to the American College of Bankruptcy. Nixon is one of only five Wisconsin attorneys to be selected in the college’s history.

Manufacturing

Tom Koepke was recently made director of manufacturing at Ultra Tech Pipe, a division of Construction Forms Inc., Port Washington. He has over 25 years of manufacturing experience. Ultra Tech Pipe has also hired Clyde Underwood as their national sales manager.

Media

Milwaukee Public Television recently hired Debbie O’Connor-Callahan as its publicist/grant writer. O’Connor-Callahan has been teaching the last few years, prior to which, she was the “fine-tuning” editor for MPTV Friends.

The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Brookfield, recently announced that Greg Marcus, president of the Marcus Corp., and Robert Banner III, systems and project consultant with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., were added to the Conservatory’s board of directors. Kristie Minnickel, Georgann Charuhas and Brenda Hughes were also added to the staff. 

Clinical and forensic psychologist Andrew Kane, president of Andrew W. Kane & Associates, S.C., Milwaukee, was recently appointed the associate vice president of the Association for Scientific Advancement in Psychological Injury and Law. 

Ellen Hayward recently became the new executive director for the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens

Arandell Corp., Menomonee Falls, recently announced that Tom Benedict was added as vice president and national sales manager. He brings nearly 20 years of printing industry experience to Arandell. 

Real Estate

The Redmond Company, Waukesha, recently announced they have hired Jay Craig as vice president of business development for the commercial market.  

Staffing

Patina Solutions, Milwaukee, recently announced the hiring of Jim Maslowski to the position of director of client services. Maslowski comes to Patina Solutions from RB Royal Industries, Fond du Lac, where he served as vice president of sales. 

Suppliers

ABC Supply Co. Inc., Kenosha, recently named Michael Self branch manager of its store at 5814 77th St. Self joined ABC Supply in 2001 and most recently managed the company’s store in Green Bay. 

Technology

Erica Conway, president of C2, Milwaukee, was recently nominated to receive the award of Charter Innovator of the Year by the Wisconsin Charter School Association for her work with the community high school’s pilot program. 

The Lake Express High Speed Ferry recently announced the promotion of Aaron Schultz to director of sales and marketing. Schultz previously served as the market analyst for the Ferry. 

Utility Services

Franklin Energy Services, Port Washington, recently announced the appointment of Jason Weiss to the position of financial officer, and Edward Carroll to the position of vice president of program design and development for the firm.
