Mondelli has more than 25 years of senior leadership expertise. Gary Sturisky has also joined the firm as global practice leader of internal audit and controls. Sturisky brings more than 13 years of experience to the position.

Ritz, Holman, Butala, Fine LLP, Milwaukee, recently announced that William Mayer has been appointed treasurer of the Jewish Home and Care Center, Milwaukee. The Jewish Home and Care Center offers long-term nursing care, comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and additional programs to older adults and other members in the community. Mayer, a partner and member of the firm’s tax team, practices in all areas of taxation.

Bader Rutter & Associates Inc., Brookfield, recently announced the promotion of three associates. Laura Hahn was promoted to account executive in the agency’s account management group, Jennifer Ryan was promoted to senior account executive in the agency’s public relations group, and Jim Jessen was promoted to account executive in the agency’s public relations group.

Core Creative, Inc., Milwaukee, recently announced the additions of Doug Birling, senior graphic designer; and Jennifer Thomas, assistant account executive, to the agency.

NOISE, Inc., Milwaukee, recently added Brad Bertz as senior interactive designer. Bertz has more than 10 years of experience in web development and graphic design working with large, national companies. In his new role he will provide web development and support to NOISE clients in a variety of industries including health care, travel and tourism, and language services.

Marshall & Ilsley Corp., Milwaukee, recently announced the following promotions in its divisions: M&I Investment Management promoted Alan Schwartz to senior vice president; M&I Equipment Finance Company has promoted Michael Crowell to vice president; M&I Financial Advisors Inc. has promoted Dean Urbanski to senior vice president and Neil Conway to vice president; and M&I Wealth Management promoted Cindy Alexander to vice president.

Bank Mutual, Brown Deer, recently announced the appointment of Melissa Osowski as bank office manager at its Mayfair Mall office, and Doug Smith as residential loan officer at its Hayward office. 

 

Building & Construction

Gilbane Building Company, Milwaukee, recently announced the following additions to the Virtual Construction Group, which provides Gilbane’s clients with VC Integration services: William Hodgins was hired as a virtual construction engineer, Geoff Camp joined Gilbane as an associate virtual construction engineer, and Chris Utley was added as an associate multimedia designer.

Triad Construction Inc., Milwaukee, recently welcomed Ryan Paque as a new project manager assistant. Pague was previously a customer service representative for Busch Precision and brings experience in project management support. He will be assisting top project managers with estimates, project scheduling, sub-contractor management, and project cost management.

Mortenson Construction, Minneapolis, Minn, recently announced the addition of Tom Thor as a scheduling manager to its Brookfield office. Thor will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of project schedules for a wide variety of projects.

Carmel Builders, Inc., Menomonee Falls, recently expanded and hired Ann Weninger as an in-house design/salesperson. Weninger has nine years of experience in residential remodeling design and sales.

 

Consulting

GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., Norwood, Mass, recently announced that Kenneth Anselment has joined the company as a senior project manager in its Waukesha office.

Ryan Lettau recently joined Velcheck & Finger Roof Consulting & Service, Pewaukee, as project engineer and solar consultant. Lettau has also earned his certification as a solar site assessor through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association.

 

Education

Marquette University’s College of Business Administration has named Douglas Fisher, director of the Center for Supply Chain Management in the Department of Management. Fisher has more than 30 years of practical business experience in the freight transportation industry. Andy Brodzeller has also joined the Office of Marketing and Communication as media relations specialist. 

Michael Payne has been appointed as an assistant professor with Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Rader School of Business. Payne will teach in the areas of marketing, marketing research, and new product management. Payne has 12 years experience in marketing with Sears Roebuck and Company, Wachovia Bank, and most recently as director of brand analysis for Miller Lite at Miller Brewing Company.

Patrick Clemens was recently hired as the new director of athletics at Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. Clemens will be the school’s first-ever athletic director with no coaching responsibilities to lead the 10-sport athletic program. The Cardinal Stritch Wolves are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and also the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

 

Government Organizations

William Mielke, president and CEO of Ruekert/Mielke Inc., Waukesha, was recently appointed to the Local Government Institute of Wisconsin board of directors.  The Local Government Institute of Wisconsin Inc. is a not-for-profit, non-partisan corporation representing all citizens of Wisconsin at the local level. The Institute was formed in October 2007 to conduct research, enhance collaboration, and educate the public and policymakers on ways to improve local government’s ability to serve the people.

Governor Jim Doyle recently appointed Thomas McAdams as tax appeals commissioner. The three-member Tax Appeals Commission is an independent agency that hears and decides disputes between persons or entities and the Department of Revenue involving all major, state-imposed taxes. McAdams has served as an assistant district attorney in Milwaukee County since 1987 and has previously worked at Reinhart, Boerner, Van Deuren, Norris & Rieselbach as an associate in the tax department. 

The City of Milwaukee’s Board of Harbor Commissioners recently elected Tim Hoelter president. The Harbor Commission, appointed by Mayor Tom Barrett, overseas the city’s commercial port operations and lakefront recreational areas extending from Russell Street in Bay View past the Summerfest grounds to the Milwaukee Art Museum on the north. Hoelter, Vice President of Government Affairs for Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Milwaukee, also serves as Chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Industry Trade Advisory Committee for Consumer Goods.

 

Health Care

Diane Ehn, quality and outcomes manager at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, was recently promoted to the position of vice president of quality & performance improvement. Community Memorial also recently added four doctors to its medical staff, they include: Dr. Robert Whitfield, plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin; Dr. Rory Miranda, OB/GYN at West Bend Clinic; Dr. Mark Nordness, allergy/ immunology; Waukesha Health Care, Inc., Menomonee Falls, and Dr. Mary Jo Rolfes-Lo, allergy/immunology Waukesha Health Care, Inc., Brookfield.

Froedtert & Community Health, Milwaukee recently named five people to new positions: Jim Klauck is vice president of supply chain management, Brad LeVine is drector of purchasing, John Pandl is chief learning officer, and Elaine Schmeda and Theresa Heeg are directors of organization development.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, recently named two new medical leaders in the Neuroscience Center. Dr. Mary Zupanc has been named program director of pediatric epilepsy, and Dr. Suja Anne Joseph has been named interim medical director of neurology.

Ted Grange has been appointed director of catering for The Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee. Prior to being named director of catering for The Pfister Hotel, Grange served as director of catering at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C.

 

Legal Services

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, recently announced that Thomas Miller has been named chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He is a partner in the firm’s Milwaukee office and is also a member of the Electrical and Computer Subgroup. Miller’s practice focuses on the acquisition and enforcement of U.S. and foreign patent rights, with an emphasis on software, electrical, electromechanical and biomedical technologies.

Joseph Gumina joined the law firm O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong S.C, Milwaukee, to lead their labor and employment practice. He brings with him extensive experience representing management in a vast array of employment and labor matters.

 

Manufacturing

The Wagner Companies, Milwaukee, recently announced that Jackie Heinrichs has returned to their company as the manager of production control. Heinrichs is returning to Wagner after a two year absence during which she worked as a project manager for Everbrite Inc., Milwaukee. She has experience with Wagner’s Inside Sales Group, Custom Polishing Sales, and Production Control.

Steve Kohlmann of Heritage Printing & Communications, Brookfield, was recently elected to the board of directors for the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW). IBAW acts as a liaison between business owners and elected representatives in Madison and Washington D.C., and represents over 200 small business owners.

 

Professional Organizations

Eldon Bohrofen was recently elected vice chairperson to the Mosaic Foundation Board of Directors. The Mosaic Foundation Board is entrusted by the Mosaic Board to carry out the fiduciary areas of mission advancement. The board is comprised of seven members who reside throughout the United States. Bohrofen is an attorney at O’Neill, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong in Sheboygan. Mosaic provides individualized services, living options, work choices, spiritual nurture and advocacy to people with disabilities across 14 states and Great Britain.

United Way of Greater Milwaukee recently added Gale Cogswell as vice president of campaign. Cogswell brings more than two decades of leadership experience to  United Way.  She previously worked with United Way in 2005 when she was named the UWGM Outstanding Loaned Executive, representing Metavante Corp., Milwaukee.

 

Professional Services

Action Recyclers, Milwaukee, recently hired Brian Kunsta as its project coordinator. Kunsta, formerly of Delta Airlines, will be enforcing environmental compliance as well as the safety of facilities and operations for Action Recyclers.

Mayfair Leasing, Waukesha, recently named Dave Goetz as remarketing manager. Goetz currently serves as a senior account executive, and brings 28 years of experience in auto finance and vehicle sales and leasing to this new role. 

MRPC, Butler, a single-source provider of medical device components and assemblies, recently added three new employees. Jeff Randall, vice president of engineering, Mark Brandstaetter has been hired as the national sales manager, and Scott Zygulski has been named east coast territory manager.

 

Real Estate

HSI Properties LLC, Glendale, recently announced that Robert Murray has joined the company as director of acquisitions. Murray brings 10 years of investment-related brokerage experience to the team, most recently with The Boerke Company, Milwaukee, where he served as a commercial real estate advisor for the investment services group.
