Penfield Children’s Center, located in Milwaukee, has launched a new website to build on the nonprofit organization’s mission to help children both with and without disabilities develop to achieve their full potential.

The nonprofit organization provides education services, therapy services and family programs to Milwaukee-area families in need of assistance with child development.

The organization’s new online resource, www.penfieldbuildingblocks.org, features how-to articles, tips and videos among other tools to provide families an additional outlet where they can learn how to better support their child’s development and ease the tasks of daily home life.

The website aggregates the expertise of family counselors, health care providers and educational professionals and presents easy-to-follow tips and best practices.

According to Penfield, more than 90 percent of families it serves live below the poverty level. So the new website answers the need for a convenient, accessible resource, free and available to families at any time.

“PenfieldBuildingBlocks.org is a valuable online resource that allows Penfield Children’s Center to serve families far beyond our agency walls,” said Christine Holmes, president and chief executive officer of Penfield Children’s Center. “Whether a parent is searching for an article on potty training tips or researching the behavioral effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, we have the experts in house to provide professional advice on a wide range of topics.”
