Cohen Fund Audit Services Ltd. has opened a new office in downtown Milwaukee at The City Center, 735 N. Water St.
The office provides audit and tax services exclusively to the investment and financial services industry.
The opening of the Milwaukee office is the next step in the firm’s growth plans. Ranked by MutualFundWire as one of the top CPA firms in the country servicing multiple mutual fund complexes, Cohen Fund Audit Services has serviced the Milwaukee area for years from its headquarters in Westlake, Ohio, and from its Cleveland and Columbus locations.
“Up until now, we’ve been working with Milwaukee-based funds, service providers and referral sources from our Ohio locations,” said Chris Bellamy, a partner in the firm’s Cleveland office who is integral to the launch. “We believe that opening this office will not only accelerate the growth we’ve seen over the past few years, but it will allow us to provide the exceptional client service and personal attention we are known for on a daily basis.”
Marcy Conklin, accountant and audit manager and team lead in Milwaukee, said, “Ohio’s business culture and service methodologies fit the expectation of the Wisconsin marketplace. Both focus on giving clients more than they expect. Our move to this region will allow us to deliver on that service principle.”
The primary team located in the new Milwaukee office will include Conklin; Jeff Haneline, staff accountant; and Brad Jones, CPA. The firm plans to add to its ranks immediately, through recruiting relationships with local universities as well as providing opportunities for experienced individuals in the area.
